Please had deployable repeater to clipso or give access to one croc man.
We totally lack of repeaters in mid field and given the importance of hacking in n4 and fluff wise It’s ok to hire a croc man or hunzakut or just to buy some repeaters or find them in an old stock of the compagnie !
I feel that with nullifiers it was ok not to have hacking but now it’s rainning spotlights from everywhere we need a better hacking access.

Now that's what I call a whiny thread.

Question: what are you going to do with all those repeaters once you've wasted your orders to deploy them? We have one true hacker in SC who can actually partake effectively in this infowar you are trying to enforce and she is pretty mediocre.

If you ask me, I am happy with my opponent using their orders to spotlight me over and over again instead of killing my units or doin objectives.

One of Tohaas, and Spirals, strength is that they are able to ignore the whole infowar by not being hackable and having stealth or having really high bts values.
In my opinion, it would change the unique identity of SC and make it more uniform. Honestly, though, I like that most armies have their own identity.

Well if you don’t see the use of such a great tool... we still have access to hacking and khd ^^

As I said, we do not have good enough or efficient enough hackers to partake in an infowar. Aelis Keesan can do the trick but against dedicated hackers she falls short.

I agree that infowar is a great tool, but as with many great tools you also need a shell around them that allows you to use it effectively.
In order to give that to SC you'd have to restructure the whole army to a point where it loses it's current identity, which would be a shame as many people, me included, chose the faction for what it does right now.

If you are looking to partake effectively in infowar I'd recommend switching to a faction that specializes in it, like Nomads. Be prepared, though, to lose some tools that SC has to offer in exchange, like impersonation.

I am making actual elaborate arguments, since you opened a thread (presumably) for discussion and you are hitting me with oneliners? I find that rather inadequate.

Wardrivers are fine if you need a specialist in a pinch but are no hackers to engage actual infowar with. If you are fielding a wardriver you are presenting a hackable unit to your opponent whos infowar units would otherwise be nothing more than gloryfied cheerleaders or expensive specialists.
All of a sudden Mary Problems is an actually useful unit for your Nomad opponent. Neither your Wardriver nor your Aelis Keesan can stand a chance against her B3 WIP14 Oblivion program.
Otherwhise she would only be a 28|0.5 Cheerleader that can maybe push a button, something a Puppetbot FO could have done just as good.

In order for SC to engage into infowar, it would take more than some pitchers or repeaters, it would take capable hackers in the first place, which we don't have and probably won't (and shouldn't) get.

A simpler solution would be to just bring back nullifiers. Fucked if I know why they took them out - even if the aim is to increase the amount of hacking, they're still a very interesting element of infowar

Well wardriver main concern is his 1 swc cost else it is a very good hacking profil. Ignoring stealth is really strong for a hacker...

Sixth Sense doesn't matter all that much with our lack of repeater access. He can ignore stealth of something that comes within 8 inches of him in the reactive turn, but can't project a threat any further than that. And the 1 SWC hurts a ton because Spiral really wants every point of SWC it can get.

That’s why i was saying that having a clipso with deployable repeater instead of the one gone with the nullifier would be a nice idea ^^ that was the thread purpose ^^

I'd be pissed, since in Tohaa that doesn't do anything. A 'phero-repeater' would be sick though

This would be cool, but very, very strong, and probably a move against the way the design of the game is going this edition. We lost like half of our pheroware, and if CB could make the change without losing players/money, I feel like all the unique Tohaa mechanics would be gone this edition.

Sounds like reason to abandon the game, if so.

I would be just happy to have nullifiers back.

Me too. I hope if the dynamics of the game do go the way they are looking like they will and hacking does become a really big deal that CB decides to bring the Nullifier back as a mechanic. It doesn't even have to block technical weapons like before, just let it nullify all hacking into, out of, and inside the bubble.
