I have the Tunguska starter, thats in a box, forgotten. Its been a long while since i played but i saw this Fast Offensive Unit Zondnautica and i really like bikes and how it transforms into a mech of sorts. I dont know how this plays or if its any good but im assuming this cant go into just any Nomad list, having to be just Tunguska? SO, is there a simple starter list that could be done for a more or less newb back to the game? (just to go against other starters, maybe with a few upgrades added.)
Yes it's good Both Vanilla and Tunguska can take it (AVA 1 in vanilla, 3 in tunguska) I play mine using the spitfire version. I usually include 2 morlock in the list (so the morlocks can move/smoke before the zondnautica use its impetuous order). I usually put it in a second group that would look like this : Nomads ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 3 3 4 ZONDNAUT Spitfire / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 32) ZONDMATE Chain Rifle, Smoke Light Grenade Launcher / Electric Pulse. (5) INTERVENTOR Hacker Lieutenant (Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 25) DAKTARI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14) MORLOCK Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, E/M CCW. (0 | 6) MORLOCK Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, E/M CCW. (0 | 6) MORLOCK Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, E/M CCW. (0 | 6) 1.5 SWC | 89 Points Open in Infinity Army If there is a big opening, I will move the zondnautica in group 1 to use it if there is a small opening, I will spend a few order to reach my ennemy DZ (under morlock smoke coverage), dismount, do some damage and go suppressive If there is no opening, I will spend my order on the morlock to create chaos and/or on the interventor to do some support (assisted fire, white noise...)
Thanks I might have to look into this now. i have the tunguska and bakunin starters which i will have to grab some from that list i dont have but i like that style with the smoke.
In Tunguska it's pretty good, since the AHD profile is both a specialist that can get to objectives quickly (quite important in a sectorial with only 1 (costly) infiltrator), and the only impetuous smoke carrier.
Nice, im just looking to put it in to a lower point list to get back into things and have something other than just standard humanoid troops.
@Arkhos94, is there a way to get Morlocks with that weapon set up other than buying the group 3 times? or can i just you the group box and have 3 of them be that weapon set up? im sure that will be ok for non turney play. But 3 boxes for the one guy is a bit pricy.
Take the morlock box, you will use them often 2 of the morlock in the box (katana and harley) have CC weapon so you can use them as E/M or DA without proxying. Killer croc as a chain rifle so he can be used as any kind of morlock without proxying too Joker as an assault pistol so he can be used only as assault pistol morlock without proxying but most people won't recognize the assault pistol anyway The only thing important is that your opponent know what you play so tell him their loadout when you end up deploying If I play all E/M I will tell it to my opponent If I mix E/M and DA, I will use some trick to remember who is who (at inter I played 2 DA and 2 E/M : DA were the bad guy (harley and joker) and E/M the good guy (katana and colossus), it's easy to remember)
Thanks that’s what I will do because getting three boxes would kill me lol. Now, 89 points? Is that good enough or should it be the 132 or whatever it is for the starter boxes?
