    This is nonsense @Child9 :)

"buy that now or you can't play this new mode":
How do you know that game mode is crap if you cannot play it w/o that box.
I am quiet certain you played 1+ Reinforcement games w/o that box and using proxies (like everyone of us) in order to figure out if you like that mode or not. ;)

I don't need the sales number to witness the low pre-orders in stores, the people around me not buying precisely for the reasons I talked about, etc...

Sure, we can proxy everything in Infinity. Do we? No. Most people play the game using minis showing what they really are. That's not an argument. This game mode was first made to be played almost exclusively with minis that you specifically had to buy for it. But obviously, it didn't go the way CB hoped... :)
But again, this was already discussed in another topic, I'm not having the same "debate" here.

That is anecdotal evidence versus other peoples anecdotal evidence, it is neither hard data or conclusive evidence and I do not make assumptions out of them, local shop sold well does this matter? local communities often are shaped by one or two individuals and often mirror what those individuals think.

I understand your assumption and do not discard it as an idea, but it is just that an assumption that without hard data is not supported, equally well CB might have sold well but got flooded with emails asking or demanding the models to be played in normal games, equally possible.

Sorry @Child9 did you read and understand my post? :) I think not.

    Let's go through your arguments:
CB never intended to include most of the Reinforcement boxes outside of Reinforcements (exception Haqq box which includes Miniatures for QK and was specifically designed as a QK Box). The inclusion of Reinforcement profiles to Vanilla and certain sectorials was a reaction on feedback from customers (and perhaps a reaction to low sales - an assumption you made later than that post).
Your argument is invalid because CB told us what mode these boxes were intended for and just broadened the target group of the boxes.

Of course CB invents game modes so they can sell miniatures - they make their money by selling us customers miniatures :)
Again your argument here is invalid because you are able to play Reinforcements w/o the miniatures, using proxies, for a test drive - and depending on your preferences to buy or not buy that box.

Funny thing is: I do proxy... a lot. As do most of the people in my meta. This again is, as @psychoticstorm pu it, anecdotal evidence.
And how did you come to your conclusion "This game mode was first made to be played almost exclusively with minis that you specifically had to buy for it."? I did not count the miniatures but Nomad Reinforcements consists of way more than those six miniature in the box (Prowlers, Kovacs, Spektr, all Remotes including Tsyklons and Vostoks, Lizard TAG). You can easily build a Reinforcement detachment w/o that corresponding box. If you look at NA2 Reinforcements you can play a detachment without Proxies as it does not even get a box. Again, your argument is invalid.

    You got anything else? :)

    There you go : https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/reinforcements-as-a-purchase-option.42697/
Every single one of your "arguments" was discussed and invalidated here.

Info from one of the biggest retailers in France is not "anecdotal evidence", especially added to a large group of players, forums, social media and so on. It's not exhaustive data (that we won't get anyway) but it's always more than you have and it shows a quite clear pattern. I really wonder why some of you find so surprising that a lot of people won't buy 80$ of minis they can't play... :) The fact that CB changed their mind and made the miniatures available to regular play is also a strong clue. But you can go full denial, if you prefer, it wouldn't be the first time, right? :)

Well if you have access to the sales data of the biggest retailer of France, good for you, I certainly do not, so I cannot comment, nor do I know what market share France has.

As far as discussions go, again same as everything else, anecdotal evidence, one can draw some conclusions from them but not a complete picture.

You have them? share them, you do not have them (or if it is confidential data)? do not invoke them.

I think it is quite simple.

    No mate. :)
You were the one who made these assumptions and statements - so you have to provide evidence. No reversal of evidence here.

What reversal of evidence? Again, everything is here : https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/reinforcements-as-a-purchase-option.42697/
    Read :)

Again, you are free to ignore every piece of information you are given if it doesn't go your way. I find it a bit odd but... whatever float your goat! :)

Aagh, I should know better than to click on "Show Ignored Content". It never pays off. Congrats to @kesharq and @psychoticstorm at keeping it civil though.

Can we now go back to how Bakunin doesn't need Marspiders but Tunguska and Corregidor actually do? I understand the fluff reason, but from a sectorial design perspective those two sectorials would have benefitted from them much more.

Since we're talking about it, CJC could have used Kulaks as well. While I will never feel the need to spend 30 points on a CoC model in Tunguska or Bakunin, I could have been convinced to use it in Corregidor. They have the worst Lt options out of all three sectorials.

I am fine with Kulaks been out of CJC, it is the one sectorial that really wants them having inconvenient lieutenants and no back up is a flaw they had since its conception.

Marspiders in CJC? assuming they appear with AVA 1-2 and no links since they are not natives, will they even see play time? they are twice as expensive as Jaguars, Tomcats and Wildcats are kind of better in their role as doctors and engineers for roughly the same points, it will be an interesting niche they would have to carve out for themselves.

Corregidor is not the only one not to get new toys. I feel ISS is near death. It’s still a good sectoral but they have had only Adil added to them in the last 5 or more years. REF was a chance to breath some life into them, but they didn’t. At least Corregidor got a revamp not that long ago. I’m sure just because they Nomads they will get more soon.

More than Lobos I would assume. Original fluff aside my first thought about them was Corregidor. They look like the main workers on the outside hull of a space ship armed to fight any parasitic aliens that might lure there. Tomcats on the other side are the rescue teams. I see a missed opportunity here.

If you need CoC, you are not true corregidorian ;-)

And such a low demand for the poorly-conceived Reinforcements system. Someone should have playtested that more or asked the playerbase what they were actually looking for.

Deeply Tunguskan oldtimer here (pre-sectorals and 4 forum ago)...two things:

One: I am deeply saddened we don't get the "spider" unit. When I saw it I immediately made a full redesign Tunguskan version with a hacking load out (shadowrun in my blood).

Two: The "spider" not having adhesive (unit standard baby glue sprayer riotstopper or just some heavy glue profiles mixed in) is some kind of heresy...

We also hate reinforcements (it just turns into "I'll o the objectives with more points and not kill past your threshold, HAHA!), my first lists with my opponent using reinforcement where soft-kill vanilla nomads LOL rip
