It'd be a pretty big deal. vCA would lose access to the best hacker in the game overnight. That and Daturazi are both huge.

There is the rule of cool and the rule of impossible, Japan surviving been out of Yu Jing is possible, especially if it is backed by PanO, not that their biggest territories and population still remain under Yu Jing.

As for PanO, have they been in any conflict to win it? biggest loss is the fall of Strelsau, and the victories in Durgama, they are the biggest punching bag and can absorb hits lesser powers would fold over and die of.

I hear you and agree. Dartok are near broken good. And Datarazi are basically the best warband in the game too. So yes. Those two would hurt. But there are a total of 6 Morat profiles in vCA. (Plus hungries if you count them) And those two are probably the only real auto includes. And CA isn’t short on good hackers either. They were good in the hacking game way before Dartoks existed.

But that wasn’t my point in what I said earlier. It wasn’t about whether or not you’d feel the loss of those few remaining units. It’s that CA has already lost most of the Morat profiles. So Morats going rogue (which I personally don’t think would happen for many of the previous statements from others on this topic.) would not be on the same level as a faction losing roughly 1/3 of its playable units.
    That’s all.

    To be fair

In the book Downfall, PanO blatantly invaded Yujing land on Paradiso and stole an entire alien ruin. Then got all usable data and destroyed the ruins with no real consequence. I call that an unambiguous win.

The CA has pervasive surveillance and massive resources, constrained by the limits of the wormhole networks. This is pretty much exactly Japan's situation at the start of Uprising, though to a greater extent. I'm certain the Shasvastii could secede without being wiped out if they believed it prudent, though the Morats would require a bit more luck given they aren't a race of paranoid survivalists.
I unfortunately have not actually read Downfall, though that would mark the first time I can recall PanO winning even a minor operation outright.

I honestly think Ariadna might be the best-written faction so far, in terms of its victories, defeats and political positions. They really sell the underdog attitude very well, losing a lot of fights but making their victories feel well-earned. Maybe it's because I can't really get the graphic novels (being Australian and not trusting international shipping will do that to you), but PanO and Yu Jing have started to feel like Infinity's Dick Dastardly to me- such a big threat on paper, never win anything, twirl mustache.

For what it's worth, Ariadna's a bit easier to write in the context of the setting because they're presently completely irrelevant to it.

It's easy to not rock the boat when nothing you do matters.

You are thinking locally, CA species and CA are not constrained on the human sphere and each and every action they take affects not only whatever local forces they have, but also their entire species, its not something anybody would take lightly and to be frank any secessionist movement would be brutally suppressed and eliminated first and foremost by their own before EI needs to even start thinking about taking some action.

You can actually see it in betrayal were you have in effect a Shasvastii versus Shasvastii action.

As for the latter, while Yu Jing are a massive superpower, PanO is unimaginably vast, if it is not written as a complacent giant that is slowly and lethargically reacting there is a high chance that "human Sphere" is just PanO.

On the French forum, someone pointed out this information from Bostria in the interview regarding composition: "...the presence of Ikadrons AND Imetron in the Next Wave sector, which are currently the two best troops in regular service and provide a solid base of regular orders to feed the VIPs of the CA."

Yeah, all basic CA remotes are to be expected as Bostria said.

I'd expect the new SACHA Treasure Hunters to join it as well. Again Bostria said they are joining several factions "and some other" - this hints adding them to new-coming Next Wave.

Adding it together I'm a bit afraid there will be A TON of cheap fillers, giving much space to put in many high-value pieces game-wise.

I'm concerned about the dino-thing. Don't take me wrong, I'm hype about the design, but what about the lore? Why adding a beast to Human Powered Propaganda Division?
Achilles said he will keep CA behaving? Here, take those Deathclaws with you xD

I’m less enthusiastic for the new CA sectoral. I think this is, yet again, CB doing things Back-Asswards. They take a bunch of troops away from a faction and don’t even try to re-fill the gap. My first thought of a new sectoral was that it was Aleph. They got troops taken away and are only two sectorals. They should have a third. And they should be like this New Wave. Instead, CA is getting a fourth sectoral and who knows how much it’s going to give a boost to an already very good vCA.

Every time they do this, they don’t realize it’s a kick in the gut to people that played the lost troops before. When they separated JSA from YJ, instead of coming out with White Banner, they re-did Corregidor. I think it was a year and a half to two years before WB came out and they weren't even good! The rest of YJ wasn't that great either.

Then there was the loss of all those sectorals with N5. Coming out with KCF was cool but it wasn’t cool to not to have at least some of the displaced troops in it.

Also, this new force has a feel of being an Aleph army without being Aleph! They could have made an army of Humans with L-Host bodies (like Post-Humans). Not all like the PH we know, being able to switch bodies. Many of them being former veteran troops that earned the new bodies. Instead, it’s humans with CA gear. Yes I know we haven’t seen everything yet but so far that’s what it looks like.

It feels like a money grab to me because we know CA is a top seller and it’s one of the top tier factions in tournaments. By the end of the year, CA is going to have the most new figures than any other faction in the last five years.

Some new info about next wave. Bostria showed us Raindancers and Cliffjumpers.
He also said that Juggernaut is really big monster (dino) and it will be TAG and he also said
that vCA won't see any change with Next wave release and all units we saw will be sectorial exclusive.
So no power up for vanilla which is great.

So we've got what's not much more than an alt sculpt Ironside (which itself is an alt sculpt Gwailo) without helmets and red Myrmidons.

I want to be optimistic, but I feel the ball being dropped. I'm hoping CB manages to toss us a curveball here and really surprise and excite me. But right now, I am bored with this supposed 'New Wave.'

We have a pretty narrow picture at the moment. It would be like trying to guess what Kestral was like with a couple pics of Sandtrap models. Some fusiliers with with hats, an upgraded orc, a desert kamau MSR. But not only is Kestral an S tier sectorial with lots of diverse units and fireteams, it also has a variety of different units design aesthetics.

I feel that NW will depend greatly on the whole picture and also how the profiles turn out too. I really like the rain dancers. The helmet and long coat are nice design for a menacing warbandy type cc dude. I also dig the dragon Dino stuff. It’s a very different flavor from the Mechs and drones and stuff we’ve seen.

I'd also like to add that the rumour that Ko Dali won't be in is also kind of ridiculous, but it's also 100% on point for CB's faction built around human defectors to not include THE most famous and first named human defector in the entire lore.

To CB's credit, Kestrel looks aesthetically great for PanO, and the variety it does have available is laudible.
It's viciously powerful as a faction, and I'd argue problematically overpowered, but at least it is interesting.

I actually dont think its that crazy that Japan could secede from Yu Jing. Yu Jing is a far cry from the UR Hegemony. No, they did not have the Japanese locked down the way the EI has the Combine's races. Not even close. Also, the human sphere is dominated by the two superpowers (Pano and Yu Jing) and the rest of the factions are far smaller. So yes they do need to gang up to stand up against one of those monster superpowers.

Also, Yu Jing has always done well, it wasnt like losing the Japanese units crippled them. They had other strategies to use besides Shinobi.

I am confused how new wave seems anything like Aleph. Is Aleph hurting right now? is it doing badly? Aleph has a bunch of REMS and Steel Phalanx units to make them feel unique. Yeah they lost some models with Achilles defection but Aleph wasnt dependent on him to do well. And Steel Phalanx got a pretty sweet Light TAG to compensation. Continuous damage AP HMG is awesome.

Unlikely. The Morat Supremacy was decidedly hostile to the CA, until the CA blew up a planet in the Morat solar system to show the power that the Morats were opposing. After that they surrendered, and when the Supremacy found out how ther CA was going to use them, they were totally onboard.

The Uprising was in part a manufactured event. The Taibatus controlled the events from behind the scene and the spark for the Uprising was that the citizens became aware of just how little Yu Jing thought about them. Without that, the Taibatsu would never have succeeded. Those condititions are missing in the Supremacy where most of the Morats are fully on board with the CA as they have some degree of autonomy within the CA, and the CA allows them to do what they wanted to do anyway. The conditions for a Morat Uprising is simply non-existent. The Japanese Uprising came about after decades to centuries worth of abuse and essentially being 2nd-Class citizen, that eventually boiled over.

The Morats largely has autonomy as long as they provide shock troopers to the CA, something they gladly do, since it allows the Morats to do what they want to do on a larger scale than they had ever hoped for. They're even extempt from the whole AI thing due to being in there for their ferocity.

I have to disagree there. Yu Jing was not that good. It was near bad for a long time. ISS was ignored, IA was a hackers wet dream, and White Banner just straight up sucked when it first came out and wasn't until REF that it got better and then all of N5 made all YJ pretty good. Still not as good as some but not bad.

The NW looks pretty cool so far. Expensive but good. I think a good starter army.
