Hollowmen with with there low ph can choose between being wounded on 65% or 70% by a HFT per template, its 60% on a chain colt. Thanks to low ph they are actually one of the biggest glass cannons in the game. Serious there are a lot of cool things here, but nothing looks OP in the slightest. Even the points costing dont look to out of whack when you look at everything as a whole.

So whats the best way to use Hollow men do we think, haris? duo? Core?

Duo- I like this as a fairly low investment, I think it somewhat has potential in vanilla with an EVO
    id probably run either
-Spitfire+ specialists (good short range aggression, id kinda be tempted to run specialist duo with borac for efficiency, move both up board while having borac shoot away, when near middle left them split and have hollow man push buttons)
-Spiftire/missile+ pitcher- this would give you access to some very nice repeater angles

you can probably skip tinbot on duo I think, the link is small enough to avoid most hackers and fairy dust is probably enough

    Haris-
-I personally would avoid the 2 borac 1 hollow man as it seems too points heavy for no reward. Special haris with Perseus/mary problems would have played to the hollow mens aggression better, or even just 2 hollow + stempler
-The tinbot being on the haris profile is really nice. I personally would go spitfire/missile launcher-specialist-haris for this squad, though taking pitcher might work
-tinbot+fairy dust will keep these guys pretty safe

    Core
-Spitfire(pointman on aggression)-Missile launcher (leave out depending on opponents list for AR)-specialist-tinbot (hacking defence)-stempler would be my go to, though dropping heavy guns down to 1 can help save some points if needed.
-Its a very strong aggressive core, with tinbot + fairy dust you will tank alot of hacking
-due to poor PH is at risk to warbands, smoke tricks and camo, bringing their own repeater will limit this as you can use it for white noise, you will have to be very precise with this link, I would probably super jump them onto high ground to avoid mines and chain rifles, white noise to remove MSV where you can
-Clockmaker will be worth his weight in gold, these guys will get shot apart but very few guns will chew through one completely (fight from rooftops also make it harder for them to shoot the prone injured one) so you have good chance at getting them back up.

while I think a core will be very good, though more of a scalpel than a sledge hammer like the riot grrls (who lose some of the upwards mobility and are harder to put back together in exchange for godlike dodging and better match ups vs camo). I think I prefer the Haris team or duo most matches. I can see full core being funny in annihilation matches if your clockmaker keeps fixing them.

If I try them out I'd probably do something like this.

    Question for the peanut gallery:

Can a Grenzer Haris join a unit of Securitate and essentially give a group of them Haris? I'm thinking no (because it would be Securitate joining Grenzer Haris effectively, not Grenzer joining a Securitate core or whatever). But it seems possible enough to be worth asking.

I doubt Grenzers are intended to be able to form a Haris with Securitate. The wording could use some clarification though.

So Perseus looks fun, but has no model and isn't in July's releases. What are you fellow hackers planning on using as a proxy? I'm thinking Achilles V1 or Patroclus.

@CB: hurry up and take my money! I want a Zondnautica and all the things.

Securitate cannot form a Haris, period. Check the Sectorial chart.

    Alright, I will bite.

Quite simply put Tunguska is the highest end level of Nomad tech, and yet out of all of our sectorials it is the one that majorly lacks both MSV and ODD, both things you would expect to find within the most advanced party. Hell, even Correggidor has MSV-2 and Bakunin has ODD, but Tunguska lacks both of these.
ODD is a particularly big gripe of mine as many of you know as it was the big invention to come out of Praxis when TO was being developed, and in the fluff it is a thing that is heavily Nomad, and yet we see almost nothing of it in our factions lists, baring two of the nun units in Bakunin, and yet our worst enemies get to spam it en-mass. It does not make any sense to me, and I would honestly love to see some of the units we currently possess gain ODD, and maybe some new offensive/defensive units with it as well. Something to step up the change and give us something of our own invention.

You also brought up MSV's and I agree, we do need them. CThe best the sectorial can currently muster is an MSV-1 on the Grenzer. Where is the MSV-2? 3 would be nice but I can live without it, but surely as even the lowest tech of the three ships has it MSV-2 should be available somewhere within the force?

There needs to be some holes somewhere in Tunguska. A sectorial can't have everything...

Less to do with fluff and more to do with table top balance.

If i may throw a somewhat real world comparison in here. Chips in credit cards were developed 25 years ago in the us, and have seen widespread deplyment outside the us over the last 15 years, yet it is only the last 2 that any real uptake has happend within the us. Inventing something has little to do on if you end up the major one deploying it.

Single, missile launcher. Start on top of the highest tower on your side, jump up, Missile launcher snipe anyone that is prone on a rooftop.

I think the Haris would be preferred for me most of the time to open room for a securitate core.

I also think the kriza haris might not be worth it, but the duo might see play. A kriza is a heck of an escort to an objective.

The core is really strong. I'm assuming it has been confirmed they can form a core without the Stempler?

Linkable rules come from the PDF. Core and AVA5 is all that would be needed for a normal core. Which they have.

Army is wrong. PDF is correct.

A small Core team looks good to me.

I'm a huge fan of using Sat-Lock and Smart Missiles to deal with frustrating things like TO in Suppressive Fire, etc. So 2 Hollow Men and a Stempler is very much my jam.

The fact that the Assault Hacker has a tinbot... wow. Having an AHD doubles your Smart Missile targeting options, and the Tinbot will benefit the Stempler too. So if you're not running them as a Haris, having the AHD, a Spitfire Hollow Man, and a Stempler is so much utility in a tiny package that I almost can't stand it. This is the thing I most want to try out.

Example SML list with this trio as the main targeting unit:

    First off, they have ODD?

Also Nomads are behind in resources, I like having that reflected in game.

Bakunin Nomads made ODD and they use it extensively on their elite combat troops. The Observancy is a core part of the BJC and Moiras form a key element ofothe Black Command tactical strike team.

You may not like Moiras, but that is what they are and what they do. And we are the only faction in the game that can put five-woman core fireteams with ODD. Which is powerful, and does work, read some of my Wotan Batreps if you don't believe me.

This. And to drive the point home, my favorite example: Feuerbach was created by a PanO company.

Maybe Pan-O made them and decided they didnt want them as much anymore and batch sold them off like the old Lizard TAG series, Nomads just bought them up for use on REMs and securitate

I am a big fan of the puppet master without puppets. He is a good cheerleader and could be also a cheap hacker. If you want to use your fast units in an alphastrike, you loose just one order. But I think the real stengh is when you go second. If I read the rules correct you can use two commandtoken to reduce your opponents order pool by 4?!?
