This triggered a realization that we can deploy the zondnautical dismounted for a 5pt chain rifle aro. It'd cost orders to remount but maybe you weren't going to Rambo with him anyway and cheap dz protection

This is it, the only canon way to play Tunguska
-Pro quake CSGO team hollow men with their stempler zond streaming bot (also is anti cheat to vac ban camo)
-quick scoping spektre with edgy username
-1 dedicated mercy main to rez the team (clockmaker)
-1 group of dedicated griefers (hecklers_
-1 Moderator who cant keep control of the server (interventor) who also is there to ban wallhacking MSV

Because a super jumping sniper HI would be giving me everything I want and they couldn't have that.

Oh god i had totally forgotten about white noise... just look at all those link who can run around with a repeater:
- Hollow-men + stempler zond
- securitate pot-pourri with perseus, spector and eventually a few grenzer (might be counter productive with white noise though)
- perseus haris with spector and stempler zond

On a side note, the sectorial has a tons of defensive options: all the FD1 units, transductor zond and warcor, sputnik's crazy koalas and grenzer ML in a cheap fireteam to name a few. Actually the really hard part is to choose the stuff you'll spend orders on... so many new shiny toys!

Tunguska looks cool, but the big thing for me is that I think it will single-handedly put all these alt-Tohaa players in my meta to bed.

Tunguska will shoot the shit out of symbio-armored freaks all day while leaving their hackable, E/M-able asses swaying freely in the wind, and Tohaa won't be able to take the tiniest advantage from it!

Lunokhods CC Attack with D-charges on 4s. And Clockmakers do it on 10s.

They're not really options. You're better off with a fast Specialist, a forward deployed specialist or a CC Specialist (Zondnaught AHD, Mary Sue/Heckler/Spektr, Raoul/Miranda) Looting some and using those.

Lists like this (see also most of PanO and USARF) are why placing and blowing D-Charges should be allowed as a way to destroy things in L&S.

No. Religious ignores Retreat in its entirety. They stay regular.

I think the distinction you're missing is in what you quoted in the first post.

Courage ignores the Retreat! State (which limits which Skills can be declared), but are still affected......

Mechanics aside, let's talk tropes.

Tunguska gets:
A nova hot decker with an edgy alias. (Mary Problems, definitely not related to Molly Millions)
A hacker/gunner with a sentient bike. (Zond Nautica, suck it Hiro Protagonist)
The psychotic bastards that either derail or save a plot then die. (Hecklers)
A drone swarm rigger. (Puppetactica)
VR junkies who double as combat riggers. Also the classic shadowy project training children type drek. (Hollow Men)
Silent professional killers. (Spektrs)
A trained operative from a different faction who's laying low. (Perseus)
Experienced trackers, solo or teams. (bounty hunters)

Hacking nodes galore.
Organized crime and corporate interests running everything.
A friggin' data vault.
AI

This is cyberpunk the faction and I could not be happier about that.

And I'd say this was close enough to (volunteer) Hollow Men's fluff to deserve some cred, joke or not:

Huh? Tohaa have like 3 hackable units, all of which are suboptimal. See my dice comparison on makuls in the other thread, all those ph10 cc10 units are going to go splat

My Makauls would love to meet your Hollow Men.

My Rasail would love to meet your Puppets.

My Sukeuls would love to meet your everything.

My Gao-Raels would love to meet you through smoke.

Tunguska is going to be wonderful in Limited Insertion, but it will be easy to ignore the hacking game and out-order, out-smoke, and out-visor this faction.

I think you make some excellent points, but at this time I think your conclusion is premature.

I agree that a lack of bodies is a serious weakness, but I manage to do alright for myself, and I probably never run lists at events more than about 14 orders, and frequently in the 12, 13 or 10 range. What concerns me most is the lack of disposable chaff, in vanilla, 3 or so of those orders are morlocks to act as speed bumps, and at least 1 thing with koalas to further slow things down. Obviously Tunguska is lacking morlock, but they still have lunkohods which have been a nomad staple. The ability to play games with camo markers that could be jammers helps, as does the ability for the zondnautica to start the game dismounts, in effect covering a corner with a chain rifle auxbot, that is at least nominially disposable.

Its also true that they don't have a lot of options for starting outside the deployment zone, but neither does Steel. Steel moves bodies around very efficiently using links, and it looks like Tunguska will have that ability to, with lots of duo, haris, and a very flexible core option.

Its been my opinion for a long time that 16+ order count is not necissary for competitive play.

Anyway I'm very excited to get some play time and real experience with this army.

Just to confirm, retreat also puts you in loss of lieutenant. Religious ignores LoL in this situation?

Literally every time I say anything about rules it's wrong I guess it's time to stop.

It could be worse. You could be afflicted with an ability to remember what the rules actually say and slowly go mad as a result. ;)

I find Nomad MI links pretty good myself, I really like Wildcats, Moiras and the mixed Grenzer/Securitate link
