Interventors, Spektrs - here you have - Tunguska already does not play like Pano. These two profiles ensure it. Also - whatever Tunguska can pull off it won't be Pano shooting power level. TO Camo HMG or a reroll-reparable TAG is not going to happen. Either way - I would like to see Kriza Borac directed Nomads sectorial. Something that brings another playstyle to the Nomads. Untill now, except for Moira (lol) Nomads had no MOD stacking HMG assault platform. Kriza changed that, providing some awesome options in both Active and Reactive turns. You can still play the Nomads the old fashioned way but such tools allow to switch tactics and play Nomads like never before. I hope CB will follow up on this with Tunguska.
Nomads are known for it's MOD stacking HMG assault profiles: Moira and Intruders are staples. Yes this is 'old style' MI/REM focussed Nomads but that's really not what you play Nomads for, right?
Corregidor also plays like PanO just with Smoke and no TO (at least it did so in the beginning) I am fine with Tunguskan playing like PanO with a HD+. What more could you ask for? :D And yeah since they both are still Nomads the Specialists are obviously way better, but that's not a huge suprise. This May/June feels like it will drag out quite a bit. Fortunately they are good months to find easy distraction, but I rather get spoiled with some more details on the profiles earlier!
I think I asked about this earlier but I wanted to get another opinion now that we are closer to release. Uhahu, do we think she will be in Tunguska? My arguments for thinking she will be are, 1) She is a solid hacker 2) Her logo is mostly black with Orange, which is similar to other Tunguska logos, and 3) She has a background related to Tunguska (baker module?). On the other hand, my friend pointed out that Tunguska is very professional, and a rogue little brat might not fit with the aesthetic. I think she is the most complete hacker in the game and a REALLY solid piece. I would love to have her in the sectorial, what are the odds we get her do people think?
Uhahu and Emily will be part of Tunguska for sure, that's where both of them ended up in the manga, not to mention the fact Tunguska uses kid soldiers like Uhahu cause building a daycare seemed like a waste of cash to them. :P
IMHO Uhahuh is totally redundant in a Sectorial which is based around Interventors. The higher BTS totally makes up for her NWI. And if Raoul ends up in Tungaska it would be stupid to have the same character trio in two Sectorials. Of course there is a chance but I wouldn't bet on it!
I don't think Raoul will be in Tunguska. His fluff really doesn't fit what is increasingly looking like Dragnet the Sectorial. Which is a pity because he really did add a lot to what we know about the Sectorial. If Nautical Zonds are bike analogues (Impetuous, Super Jump 12" total move) then Tunguska would pick up a deep attack option (~30pt Multi Rifle + ODD Impetuous REM would be in the realms of possibility).
I ran Uhahu in a soldiers of fortune tournament (as bakunin) and regretted the hell out of it. She looks good on paper, but just doesn't do it for me. NWI looks cool, but killer hackers have Trinity. Assault pistol looks cool, but you will have a hell of a time getting to +3 range. She can't be the LT, so you feel bad running supportware. I like the interventor or custodier 100% better.
Dragnet,eh? Let's look at this all, bearing in mind one thing: Just the facts.... Fact: Tunguska doesn't shy away from doing things the messy way. "You, me, your balls, and this drawer." Fact: Tunguska has Serbian and Croatian origin stufff. "After losing the two previous vehicles we had been issued, the only car the department was willing to release to us at this point was an unmarked 1987 Yugo, a Yugoslavian import donated to the department as a test vehicle by the government of that country and reflecting the cutting edge of Serbo-Croatian technology." It all fits (the 1987 movie at least)!
I can see it now: Tunguska has s version of the Confrere Knight rule where you can't take Serbian and Croatian troops in the same list.
I think mixed links will probably start to crop up in places like Tunguska. I would think this is one way to get MI on the table instead of trying to make 5 Grenzers attractive.
I want mixed links, but I don't want every sectorial getting min maxed teams. I'd give up a tunguska mixed link team if it meant it was rare. I'll need to see the unit rules to know if we'll need it. A team of models that can earn their points back is usually amazing, but links like mobile brigada the cost starts to make you feel like you paid too much for abilities you won't use, like courage on the 4 other guys. Is the nautical zond for all nomads? Can we create an updated list of confirmed info?
StarCo has one merc each from CJC & BJC. Raoul is my best guess for a TJC representative. Emily and Uhahu seem like a package deal to me, and I don't think we get both. I wouldn't mind Emily though. Even without a link she is quite good. Fluff wise, Raoul briefing the TJC is mentioned in the Uprising book a couple if times. Not the Black Hand and not any if the other Commands, just TJC.
Raoul would be cool. Togan would be cool. Lots of characters feel like they'd fit tbh, but we'll have to see.
Also I would be happy with a pure Grenzer core, I like Grenzers and I like MI cores. I run Wildcats and Moiras, and I ran pure Bolt cores when I played PanO (and they were great, because Bolts are great, despite them all whinging about them all the time). But I appreciate that people might enjoy some mixed elements to them as well. I'm not sure what that would look like mind. Securitate and Grenzers? Interventors? I'd actually like Interventors to be linkable with Grenzers I think that'd be badass, super cool cyberpunk tactical security team with greatcoats, sexy ladies with massive 80s hair and hyper-hackers! Also I hope that we get Steranko as a character. Some sort of Arslan equivalent but off a Grenzer base rather than a Druze.
Emily with Intervenors seems like boarderline broken. There is a reason why Nomads don't have CoC. I wish it would be possible too, but I think it's unlikely. Maybe the non CoC profile only, but having a that and Uhahuh as a Duo seems pretty pointless in the TJC.
