Wish they fix the longarms in N4. Bostria once said they will get minis later in 2020, so it's about time imo. And maybe some digital resculpts, new delegate would be good (there's still no tohaa rpg character! ).
They could also include a Tohaa civilian on a Dire Foes, it's long time since Diplomatic Delegate, and you know, we need 3 Tohaa HVT to Unmask and Countermeasures :p I'm trying to convert a Tohaa Civilian right now with a coorporative touch, to fit on Spiral Corps
I'm very sad to see our weapons replaced, but I almost have enough spec ops models to pretend they are brawlers, so that's nice. Hope the fact they have symbioarmor is significant and not just a design choice.
I thought that was odd. I also thought it was odd that they said it was for Spiral Corps. They don't have an option for them outside of Aelis Keesan. Maybe as an option for people who don't want to get the Dire Foes box she comes in?
I guess that's why I was confused. I haven't really dug into Spiral as much as I'd like due to the real world, but looking at the army builder there was only the option for Taagma. Is there a place in the books, or rules saying that the Hatail and the Taagma are basically the same thing? Why are their options different between Tohaa and Spiral Corps? Sorry, I've put Infinity on the back burner of my hobbies this year with everything going on in the world and me going back to running a D&D game for my friends during the pandemic. Some insight into the current status of these units would be helpful.
"Hatail" is the generic term for a Tohaa Spec-Op, whatever unit it's based on. All factions have one, take Ariadna for example. Their Spec-Op is called an "Intel" but can be based on a Grunt, Metro, Volunteer, or Line Kazak, they also have two named Intels from the Dire Foes boxes (Izzy and Rosie).
In the campaign system in Daedalus Falls, the generic "spec ops" are established for each faction. "Hatail spec ops" is a Kamael in Tohaa, and it is a Taagma in Spiral Corps.
This will be a nice proxy for the Kerail Preceptor, and also shows that we'll have new Spec Ops customization choices. Also, glad to see that Jose Luis Roig is still working in Tohaa models.
Looks more like this, i think, not like taagma. Kotail also has holoprojector, it could explain pano weapons (in spiral helots also use it).
You are right, other than a few differences on the waist, back and legs, the models are very simmilar.
