If the Raicho gets any new skills or equipment it's going to need to either get more expensive or lose something else in exchange.
There are multiple design aesthetics in Infinity. Go play Yu Jing or PanO if that offends you. Not everyone plays by your anime rules ;-)
The only bits I want from the nuRaicho is the gun, ammo hopper, and the Demarok pelt. It's a great sculpt, but totally not Morat. Would be a lot better if tweaked a bit and made into a Cutter. If the pelt's easily removed without damaging it I'll buy it off you.
Nice model... but doesn't look remotely Morat in Aesthetic. Neither the suit or the gun. Looks like a an overhaul of an EI design - the whole weird bendy legs thing - which isn't really what Morats are about.
That might be the case. After all the Ur forces may have destroyed or repurposed the remaining Raichos that have survived the war between the Morats.
I feel like it's at most slightly overcosted; giving it something like Full Auto with no other changes could easily swing it the other way.
I decided to do a rundown of some TAG numbers. All models are in cover and at +3 range; target dummy is a Guijia. Possible Raichos: Current Raicho - 59% to wound, 12% to be wounded Full Auto L1 Raicho - 65% to wound, 10% to be wounded Full Auto L2 Raicho - 74% to wound, 6% to be wounded And as a comparison, some PanO TAGs: Squalo - 63% to wound, 10% to be wounded Dragao - 69% to wound, 8% to be wounded Cutter - 75% to wound, 5% to be wounded And yes, I know you can't blindly compare points across factions, but all three of those PanO TAGs cost more than the current Raicho does.
But that means playing the drab and dull as hell PanO... Some people have good taste you know Back to the new Raicho... meh. It's cool and sleek but if you put it down in front of someone and ask what it was they'll probably say it's an EI or Nomad tag. None of the design element save the animal pelt point to it being something that the Morats use. It kinda look like the Morats might be going through a slight redesign... again.
not enough to get a bigger tag. Your welcome to chuck out your smoke (both kinds), warbands, cheap infiltrators and at least half decent hacking presence though if youd like. Oh and the -1WIP, dont forget that. Do those things and then maybe thered be an argument
well, theres Bit and Kiss as well. Bit+Qdrone is pretty much enough to garrauntee that even the strongest hacking force does not just get to run amuck
I can see a couple ways that they could add Full Auto L1, but I think Full Auto L2 is a sufficiently large jump that it's a bad fit for a TAG. The relevant background quote is Despite the substantial mass of their armor plates, nearly half the weight of an operational Raicho comes from their munition reserves. This is a result of the personal preferences of Raicho pilots, notoriously partial to displays of indiscriminate firepower. The Morat Armored Brigades were conceived specifically for offensive missions, and owe a good deal of their success to their ability to fly into fits of extreme rage during the most intense stages of attack operations. These TAGs, masterfully adapted to their operational profile, radiate distilled rancor. Effective, lethal and capable of dealing fast, sustained, devastating blows, Raichos are the weapon of choice for the Morat Supremacy. You can read that as support for Full Auto, but you can also read it as support for Frenzy. They could also decrease the ARM value to represent that a tradeoff has been made to make room for all that extra ammo. I'm sure you can come up with others if you are a little bit creative.
