So when you look up Spiral in the the new CB store, the Anaconda comes up with with other Tohaa. I guessing/hoping they are going to be a mix of Tohaa+Human with some of the subservient races. The guys with the cans on the back are Kaauri but a different troop i think from a Sentinel. Anyone else want to start with speculation and discussion?
Its not a lot to go on but the spiral search suggests a faction with less focus on the powerful triads. Staple triad shooters: gao rael and sukeul are missing from the search results, as is the kerail for the regular smoke. Only drop trooper so far is the cube jaeger. How will CB differentiate spiral from vanilla tohaa? Tohaa has high availability and great fireteam rules. Spiral has access to a fraction of available tohaa range... seems unlikely to produce a faction equal to current tohaa... :S
When you add in the new troops from Spiral, it's not too bad. Looks to be up to six new troop types there. That might not be the whole selection either. Man I hope they change Symbiomates though. Especially with that monster dude with them.
Zitat:SPIRAL CORPS ARMY PACK– Army pack box that includes 10 miniatures (+1 exclusive miniature HATAIL SPEC-OPS only during pre-order). Spiral Corps belongs to NA2 (the non-alligned armies). It’s composed of veterans of the Tohaa Army and some human mercenaries who operate in the Human Sphere following a secret mission. This was posted in the german infinity forum www.o-12.de. Source is Mayacast announcement.
Yeah, there'd been hints from CB about a Tohaa and human Merc mixed force for a while. I wonder if they'll keep access to Triad, or use the normal Core/Haris/Duo system. The trailer seemed to indicate that the little guys are related to one of the Tohaa dudes in some way. Mixed links are obviously a given as it is 2019.
My guess is that these Tohaa might be used to work with humans, and as such rely on the traditional fireteams of Human Sphere, probably even forming mixed teams with humans. Therefore I wouldn't expect any of them to have the Triad rule. I think that would explain the reason to make the sectorial an NA2 army instead of an official sectorial of the Tohaa faction. Or who knows, maybe the new Spiral units are exclusive of the sectorial, which would suppose a new step on CB's policy with sectorials and generic factions.
New gear talked about on BOW weekender, tricor: gives 5 man bonus to user in 3 man team. Statocloud generator: makes sat/low vis template zone centred on user.
Monstruckers are probably mercenary bikers. Not gonna lie I'd love for some generic mercenary s5 guys but I dont think that's gonna happen.
That slot of a S5 HI is already Occupied by another unit, therefore it's really unlikely. But a S5 mercenary HI would be grate in general.
So, no bikes, 4-4 LI Climb+ engineers instead. Solid loadouts and cheap. But... present in Spiral, present in Vanilla Ariadna, but not in USARF. Weird.
Very weird! All around weird. Not in USARF doesn't make sense at all but I haven't read the background.
