    Cool!

    I already have questions
    1. If I find the Designated Target, are the unrevealed Decoys considered revealed as well?
    2. If an activated console is activated by my opponent it is not longer considered activated by me, can I activate that console to reveal a HVT? (Or is that only for scoring activated consoles purposes?)

Why can't I add this mission to my tournaments in OTM?

EDIT: Nevermind reloading the page fixed it.

Am I blind or the mission is missing the information about revealing the targets?

    Kinda blind, kinda poor layout.

When activating the Console, the player may choose one of the enemy HVTs and the adversary must Reveal if it is the Designated Target, or if it is one of the Target Decoys. »An Activated Console cannot be Activated again to Reveal another HVT.

TBF I had a hard time finding it at first, but that is how me and my opponent played it.

That said, I was a fan of this mission but I want to do it a couple more times to get my thoughts on it.

I played on Saturday. Tough one to score high on between the Exclusion Zone and needing to either hit all 3 consoles if you don't guess right or regrabbing consoles they have activated after you. Though on that latter situation, I'm still not sure if that would work given the way it is written.

I presume that if you guess correctly revealing the Designated Target also reveals the Target Decoys right?

I played this mission last Friday. It´s tricky. I often had to decide whether it is best to MOV-MOV towards the objectives or to MOV-Shoot the enemy. Also, the Exclusion Zone is tricky for Ekdromoi with Combat Jump. From my edge of the table I had 20 inches to deploy in, then there was an 8 inch Exclusion Zone, then another 8 inch Zone to deploy in before the enemy DZ began. That´s a bit odd, but manageable (btw.: do I have to place the Drop Zone Circular Template completely outside the Exclusion Zone/DZ or is it sufficient to place the trooper in a legal spot on the table?)
I´d also like to copy on Mahamoti´s question:

Especially after having discovered 2 Decoys, is the Designated Target cosidered revealed automatically?
It did not matter in my game, but clarification would be nice. We wondered about that before the game.

Funny side thing: an undicovered HVT prevented me from launching a rocket with impact template onto my opponent (HVT stood very close). So i had to discover this guy at a console and then have a rocket fry his guts (he dodged, of course he did...)

Not the way it is written. You need to activate 3 consoles (not necessarily all 3 mind you, just 3 activations and a majority at end of game) to get all 3 hvts to their second states and max score.

The way it reads (after going over it a half dozen times at least) is that activating a console lets you discover an HVT. You can't activate and already activated console to discover another HVT. If your opponent activates a console it is no longer considered activated by you and you can reactivate it.

That leads me to understand you could be doing back and forth activations on just one console.

Can the HVT when declaring ARO's physically move via dodge?

Also HVTs using Civilian rules is still current right? Meaning you can synch with your HVTs and run them away?

    Yes, yes, yes.

(Movement via Dodge as ARO is inherent in the skill declaration, not in the type of trooper declaring the skill)

Woah wait, this didn't occur to me. Once your HVT is revealed you can take their hand and leg it?

Before. Civevac let's you interact with a Civilian. You can also do it to your opponents but only before you reveal them.

    -----

When we played this we found the Exclusion zone very heavy handed. Completely understand it's there to prevent a T1 blitz with mulitple infiltrated / AD specialists (although that's not actually out of the realms of possibility with a minimum of 6 orders being required to push all the buttons) but I think this could be achieved better by a 'softer' rule. Something as simple as applying a -6 WIP on T1 has the effect of making T1 button pushes inefficient but doesn't cruel AD. Watching my opponent try to deploy Parachutists through a 4" wide opening (half of which was blocked by terrain), while admittedly beneficial, was painful.

I found the Data Tracker well thought out for this. Generally I'm thoroughly disliking the Datatracker rule; but for this game it worked really well. However, I think this will be a difficult mission to 10-0; getting your Datatracker into a position where it can kill any of your opponents HVTs and survive the game is very difficult for many Datatrackers. It's ideal for Squallos and Lizards though: high MOV and HGL allows them to efficiently delete any HVT.

I'm not sure @inane.imp, I would say you can sync them was well:

    • If the Civilian is considered Hostile, due to any game condition or Scenario Special Rule, then the player must apply a -3 MOD to the WIP Roll.

Edit: I have just read the ITS again, they are considered enemy troopers instead of neutral civilians.

So are the HVT's hostile neutral (wow what an oxymoron) civilians in any scenario?

HVTs are neutral civilians. If they are designated targets they are enemy troopers.

Maybe in some campaign rules the hostile rule is/will be used...

    That might help:

    Unmasking-HVT-Markers.png
Some pretty handy faces for double-sided HVT markers (size has to be 18cm x 6cm in order to get them printed with a 1" diameter). Despite the German writing you'll find out who's the Designated Target with ease :)

    The markers ready to play:
