Yeah problem of fast translation, I let the english abbreviation for EI - evoluated intelligence in the french summary, which made it interpreted by machine as the Islamic state in french. So I re-translated it with deepl instead of google.
Big update with some changes for Tohaa. Army Update October 2025 - Part 2. https://infinityuniverse.com/blog/army-update-october-2025-part2
Tohaa changes are few, but welcome. Specially those that allow Spiral Corps players to use more of their models (Kriigel and Draal AVA increased to 2). For example, Reex escorts might be useful now, in a Fireteam with the Kiel-chan that now cannot be isolated and thus has more chances to get into close combat. If not, now we can also acompany the Kiel-chan with the always reliable Chaksa (although that Fireteam is a bit more expensive because you are required to bring a Longarm). Seems like there might be some other changes that are not listed in the "Tohaa" section, like the Greif upgrading its Mimetism to -6.
Were Kiuutans excluded with the drop of Spiral? Because the update says "Kiiutan Imposters: added to Tohaa and Ikari Company" (AVA 1).

Kiuutan were removed as base unit, leaving the kiuutan character as the only option. While this was not all that relevant per se (it's the same thing to leave Kiuutan AVA 1 than Jaan Staar, a character with AVA1) since the "meat" of the troop is the profile, it did enarch more than one eyebrow because of the miniatures, basically: kiuutan imposters had 1 model but AVA2, and Jaan Staar had also one model... exclusive to the Defiance kickstarter (in the expansion, so the base game was not enough to have the model). This meant that most people had 2 kiuutan models, or one model and one conversion, so as to use one for each profile (since the AVA 2 of kiuutans also covered Jaan Staar). That woould have pointed to leaving AVA2 Kiuutan, instead of a character (obviously AVA 1).
The o12podcast blog has a German article about the Tohaa, which can be easily translated with edge: Tohaa Report: Precision, Control, Extinction – What Remains of the Biotech Myth? https://o12podcast.substack.com/p/t...mpaign=post&utm_medium=web&triedRedirect=true
