They already changed a lot of profiles with the start on N5. I don't think there will be much more changes to existing. Some of the things they have shown recently though will. They have made mistakes on a few like the Crane AP HMG and Wu Min AP SMG. I hope they see how disappointed we are in the Bayara and do something to make it worth taking.
Agreed. I feel similarly as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if they held back a couple things till the full release though. But it could go either way. I personally think what would make the Bayara shine would be total reaction and BS attack +1 burst. Maybe a flash pulse or something like that just for those out of good range moments. (Dodge +3 would work too) But nothing too crazy. It’s meant to be a close range DZ guard. But it needs to have something to push it over to be strong enough to take over what others are saying they can do better with other things.
I think I find the Bayara too expensive as a guard. It's like he's too good at it's job. But he's so good at that, he can't do anything else.
That’s a good point as well. He could lose a couple skills and be like 13-15 pts. I kinda wished he was a real CC beast though. That dragon looks super threatening. And instead of biting and slashing stuff. It’s using an ultra night night club. lol I would’ve preferred Ma3 and an EM ccw. Which would’ve still fit that theme but been more lethal in the process. Plus the extra special die would be nice.
Agreed. I'd rather a close combat monster. NBW, Berserk (+3), DA CCW, Smoke Grenades. But I guess we just need to wait and see. It does have good CC against anything that doesn't have NBW. But it really has no way to go and do the CC. It waits around for something to come to them.
Bayara's good. He has everything he needs to corner guard against assassins and threaten all the insane deployment immunity bullshit that's all over the place now.
Not SI, not even yujing player (I did play some leagues with IA or WB only to take a bit of...) but EM concerns I think are general and happening for a lot of "commanders" now. My thoughts about this: 1. EM had, without question, increased the numbers, but not so much as it could appear, the main change is that many profiles have Emitter that now is good, not almost useless as it was in n4, and what it was an emitter (carabine) is now better too. So this is why we are more concerned about EM. 2. Don't forget they are more profiles with Immunity BTS now than they were in N4. This is something to take into account. 3. Same as Imm BTS we have now more warhorse profiles (old veteran) which allow you to ignore EM ammo. So, yes, now are more EM, it is truly and issue? Don't think so. As an example, I got my HI several times immobilized and isolated but rarely killed after that unless they catch it with some special ammo or without covert. That means, probably you will have the chance to take those back into game thanks your engineer or the speedball.
From CB tiktok so it's a bit blurry. Right now I have no idea why you would take this. 5pt irregular. Good CC weapon with low-ish ability. Nanopulser or Flash Pulse. A specialist at least but so is a Warcor now for 3pts. If I have 5pts left over, I might take him instead of a Warcor. But that would be the only reason. He can go into a CG team but doesn't count as one. If you use his order he's out of the team. He's more of a liability than anything. Yet again disappointing.
This is actually shocking. The lore videos reference dragon lords several times in a way that made me think of a leadership role. I was almost sure they would be a budget quality LT like the Magistrate and Metsuki. 20ish pts and LT skills. This is not was I was expecting at all.
Same here. It's not just "not good" it's actually just bad. It's like they are are going out of their way to make sure they are not nearly as cool or interesting at the last several re-dos. Bakunin got so much cool and good stuff, Torchlight was cool and strong, ISS is.... well meh. I've been trying so hard to be positive too! But now I have no hope for the rest of the new stuff. The worst thing is that now i'm probably not going to buy the new set. It's just not worth it for me.
I’ve already committed to trying it out. I like the aesthetic of the new stuff and N3 releases. Which I already grabbed before the went oop. But I’m very surprised at the direction some of this new stuff went. I’ll enjoy painting them and playing around with an army I’ve never played before. I’m just sad that things haven’t been more interesting so far. With the exception of the Koga anyway. Not saying it’s all bad either. Just a lot of missed opportunities to be better or different. Just my take.
If you have a warcor in your list and you still have 2 points then you are not playing Vanilla or White Banner and unless you already have enough Kuang Shi you are not playing ISS.
It's a linkable warcor with a DTW. Dude's good. 1.5B cheap flash pulse that you can also cart around to press buttons. Kind of silly to put that profile on him when he should have just been an HVT. Not exactly the most flavourful or inspired thing in the world. But he's good.
Can second this, loved the Tech Bee even when she was still Irregular for this price. Being a Specialist gives you the freedom to use that Order usefully, and opponents can often overlook the glorified WarCor until they pull out a pistol and drop a key scoring piece. Nonetheless an absolute travesty for a Dragon, though. The unquestionable magistrates of the Judiciary, used as largely-expendable ARO.
Shenji and Jinwei are now in Army app along with other profile updates. Edit: Imperial vanguard also.
The update is up! Celestial Guard Hacker: changes Combi Rifle to Submachine Gun. Cost goes from 18 to 14. Imperial Agents Zhanying Hacker: gains UPGRADE: Zero Pain and adds Pitcher to its weaponry. Imperial Agents Pheasant: New Doctor option for 27 points. Imperial Agents Crane: gains two new options with AP HMG and changes the Nanopulser for Pulzar (+1B) in all his options. Hsien: Gain a new Lieutenant option (+1 Order) for 51 points and +1 SWC. All Nanopulsers gain (+1B). Su-Jian: The Heavy Shotgun option gains a Light Flamethrower (+1B) and sees its cost modified from 44 to 46. Sun Tze: Gains a new Lieutenant option (+1 Order) for 53 points. Celestial Guard Fireteam: Dakinis and Devas removed and Jinwei, Pheasant and Dragon Lord added. Fireteam of Wu Míng: Zhanying go from 0-4 to 0-3. Zhian Fireteams: Bao, Pheasant, Crane and Zhanying gain the tag (Zhian). Hsien changes from 0-2 to *-2. Added Jinwei with the tag (Hsien). Wildcards: added Shenji with the tag (Hsien). Yan Huo: added (PS=7) to CC Weapon. Hac Tao: added (PS=6) to Shock CC Weapon. Húláng: added FTO-2 to the options with Forward Deployment. Krit Kokram: added FTO-2 to the options with Forward Deployment. Tian Gou: removed HoloMask as a main equipment and added to the non-Hacker options. Hacker options have their cost reduced by 1. As far as the the rest of YJ. Loosing the holomask on the KHD Tian Gou kinda sucks. The rest is not that notable. I don't see changes for the Koga from what we saw. Other than Forward Deployment. Interesting he's a LI instead of Skirmish. The Dragon Lord is not bad but I wouldn't put him in a fireteam. He doesn't count as a Celestial and it's a waste of the irregular order. You can't use it in a fireteam. I guess I wouldn't use it that much anyway. A warcor is only there to catch bullets. Bayara the same :( Jinyao is the same I'll post about the new stuff as soon as I can.
