It doesn't even say that under the main template page, cripes do I dislike this game's rules layout. What's the etiquette here, do I close the redundant thread or edit my prior post here?
Assume an anaconda TAG has Immobilized, Isolated, Possessed, and Targeted on it. The next order it takes two wounds from an opposing model and triggers escape system. Are any states applied to the anaconda operator that is now in the smoke template?
Followup: How does Dodge movement work with terrain? Answer: As written, Prone halves the movement value while terrain reduces the MOV attribute. As such a 6-2 trooper with Dodge (+2") that is prone in terrain will Dodge 3" because the MOD is halved but the base movement isn't This is incorrect. Base movement of Dodge is halved. "While in this state, Troopers have both their MOV values and movement bonuses halved when performing any Skill with the Movement Label (Move, Dodge…), or when moving as the result of a failed Guts Roll" https://infinitythewiki.com/Prone
Correct and I've written that not actually answering the question. I'll amend. Normally I'd ask to respond in the thread but I don't believe anyone answered the question on prone in terrain in that thread so...
"Question: Should declaring out of range ZoC skills break Hidden Deployment so that LOL can be avoided and order(s) generated? Or should this technique be advertised for newer players to avoid blind siding them? https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/are-zoc-declarations-to-leave-hidden-deployment-welcome.39148/ Answer: Unsolved" This one is now definitively solved.
Indeed. I actually have one very much like it in the answered section because I grew fed up with people doubting what IJW wrote. Removed the duplicate and linked the older thread to the first question on the answered list (it's probably one of the most important questions of this edition together with the sequence of requirements)
Added The Big question to the list and also the interim answer to it. Please let me know to correct the answer if it's still up after CB's full rules team has had time to discuss it and made an official answer.
Idle can't be declared as an ARO, but if you declare anything at all it will cancel Hidden Deployment. Most things that causes you to perform Idle will also cause you to cancel Camouflage as well. Obligatory note for the casual reader: Idle and "no ARO" are not the same thing.
Small note, but in N4 if you end up performing an Idle as a result of an invalid ARO Declaration you lose any marker states (and Ammunition, if applicable). https://infinitythewiki.com/Idle
Absolutely! I just can't think of a way where you perform Idle as an ARO while still being Camouflaged ;)
Currently in the process of moving the answers to their own post to clear up space. Answers can be found in the second reply. Let me know if you spot answers that are out of date Edit And move is done. Removed maybe 5 to 10 FAQ answers (I didn't count) where the answers provided provided no additional information over what's already in the FAQ.
Awesome work, man. Once you've got them sorted, may I suggest giving them their own "Answered Questions" thread if CB is willing to sticky it. We've got so many people complaining this week that rulings are hard to find, my thinking is that someone coming to the forums is more likely to be looking for answers than for unanswered questions. So an Answered Questions thread would be easier to find than the third post of the Unanswered Questions thread.
The "can Dep Equipment go Unc?" question appears in both the answered and unanswered sections. I don't know if that is intentional or not given we're expecting an FAQ to permanently explain it.
Made that separate thread for answered questions: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/n4-questions-answered.39595/ It should be in answered only. I'll hunt it down.
