With the threat of oblivion gone I think hacking got weaker? Like alot, weaker. Although on second thoughts the stacking -6 between targeted and immobilised is still relatively difficult to get out of in any order efficient manner. Definitely leans towards wanting multiple HD to spread aids as an ARO though as quickly as possible.
If it's not a mistake then it's basically only carbonite. And now we can reset out of it. It really is almost no downside to be HI. But then again it might just be misprint xd
If you get both targeted and immoblised trying to reset out on WIP7 is gonna be pretty aids, especially if you're still getting contested on the F2F. But it certainly won't be the fire and forget that oblivion is currently in N3 where it doesn't really matter if the hacker immediately dies trying to get the oblivion off as long as he sticks it on an important target. No duration for buffs either, seems like you can buff the Rui Shi and as long as your EVO doesn't eat shit it'll keep marksmanship up.
Well in you eat both spotlight and carbonite then why not just call engineer and be done :) My meta isn't even heavy on hacking so I have no idea how does stealth on reactive work against active hacker. Can he target you without lof or not?
Huh, that directly contradicts the chart. It only lists TAG, REM, Hacker. It's also only burst 1 in the chart So one of the two is wrong. @ijw
OK. To throw further confusion onto the fire From the battle report it targets HI (which are listed as IP? @Benkei if you could confirm with the spanish), but is only listed as Burst 1 in its infographic.
Some kinda slightly blurry picture leaked online. I figured it's the book, maybe that's not the case.
Stealth doesn't affect units in the reactive turn. Won't hide you from hackers if you're the reactive player. In N3 anyway.
Shotguns are small templates as well if we didn't already know that. All shotguns are small templates. MSRs kept burst 2 DA, that nerf didn't stick. (I think this might be a typo because there's no reason for them to split the antimaterial and burst mode entries with this like they did). They did lose stun ammo though which is a pretty big nerf
I'm looking at a slightly less blurry picture and the quick reference chart lists Oblivion as Burst 1 and doesn't have HI among its targets, though the latter I find more easy to accept as being a simple typo. Edit: btw, if Tinbots do indeed make Firewalls and if Fairy Dust do indeed also make Firewalls, then they won't stack. On the plus side, all Firewalls reduce the incoming Comms Attack's DAM by 3.
Maybe they copy paste error'd Carbonite? That'd explain how it wound up with B2 and the wrong targets.
The good thing is that with the wiki being supreme, and IJW keeping it "alive", those things can be easily errata'ed. Edit: I would still like to see a good official statement saying: "The Wiki reins supreme, as does the ARMY."
Occam's Razor. It makes no sense, what so ever, for HI not to be targetable by Oblivion. Burst is up in the air until IJW/Koni clarifies it, I think
The closest statement we have is that the Fireteam Chart overrules Army thanks to some silliness going on in the background that makes Army horrible at listing them. Hopefully that issue got fixed, but I doubt it.
