Now that the Out Of Production Sectorials and Factions have been added to the N4 Army Builder and their Sectorial and Special Fireteam charts are available we can see how things have changed. We'll start with Acontecimento, here are their Sectorial and Special Fireteam charts: No real surprises there, but the meat of the conversation starts when we look at the changes to units, their points and SWC costs. Bagh Mari got a little more expensive, gained number 2, and the bsg became an FO. The points increase isn’t great, but along with cheaper ORCs, less swc over all, and amazing changes to regulars, tags, and other HI, I’d say they’re in an amazing spot. In particular, the minelayer sensor regular getting cheaper and (along with the FO) losing their swc cost is phenomenal. It’s so easy to get 3+ minelayers in a list, which I think is crucial with tactical window. I still see errors in the Acon machinist (should be 18 points I think) and the 0 swc spitfire on the guarda. I like that Rao got number 2 and is a specialist. I don’t like that he got more expensive. The Lt profile is interesting, but without chain of command (I don’t count Singh in this) I think he might be telegraphing a little too much. I like Singh now, which is awesome. I sort of wish he’d kept the assault pistol. He’s still a little more expensive than I want, but at least he’s serviceable in cc now. He really should have gotten a bonus to combat jump or the ability to parachute into the enemy deployment zone. Overall, I am very happy with Acon.
The quick rundown is: Regulars: 0 SWC for FO and Minelayer/Sensor, 7 points cheaper for Fastpanda/LGL/HD Agnes: Got wildcard Machinist: SAA Machinist now costs the same as the vanilla Machinist, this may be a bug. Akalis: lost the E/Mitter Bagh Mari: have a cheap FO (replaced Number 2, which is now on ALL Bagh Mari). The HMG LT Bagh-Mari is 2 points cheaper than the non-LT (bug?) Drakios: Now MI. Got full Berserk and Specialist Op, lost Free Agent. Kirpal: Got NCO Rao: Lt now gives +1 Command Token, he also got Specialist Op Scylla: Now MI. ECM(Hacking -3). She gets a Hacking Device with Trinity +2 DAM or an EVO Hacking Device with Trinity +2 DAM and picked up a Pitcher. She also picked up Shock Immune Teucer: X-Visor gone, picked up Shock Immune, costs reduced, lost C+, got Triangulated Fire Guarda: Got a lot cheaper, got 6-2 MOV, Eclipse is now regular smoke. (Also has a Knife, which must be a mistake, and the Spitfire shows as 0 SWC in Army, which also must be a mistake) Dragoes: Got a full 21 points cheaper Big winners: Hacker/Fastpanda LGL Regular, Minelayer/Sensor Regular, Dragoes, Scylla. The Peacemaker might also be a "winner" here, since midfield hacking presence at the start of the game is nice. We couldn't come up with any normal use case for Triangulated Fire on Teucer except following up a Pistol with a point-blank Feuerbach in some instances. Acon is definitely the place in PanO to be to run a TAG, since we have two very solid TAG choices, with plenty of support to back them up, but the support also comes at a low enough cost that you can take a TAG and still hit the 15 order Tactical Window range.
Lt profiles on some units being given a points discount appears in several factions now, so it is likely not a bug. Scylla is legit amazing. Triple TAG might be more than a meme list.
It's definitely a meme list. Anything that can possess one of your TAGs can just throw it at the other two and it will probably come out ahead. And that's a real risk in N4 because everyone and their dog has hackers now, and I don't think a triple TAG list can fit its own hacker without making some serious concessions. A Tik and a Dragao though? That could definitely be a thing.
