Hi guys, I have a doubt Can I have an Hafza fo as liason officer that use his holoprojector to be a djanbazan?
Sure. It still has a big marker next to him to remind your opponent there are no Djanbazan forward observers though.
Hi guys, I am trying to play a tournament that allows 12pts specops I am Thinking to field a chain of command+jammer specops Do you think is a worth choice of skill/weapon? What do you use? Is first time I field a specops Thanks
It depends on the tournament-context and what kind of list you want to build. My choice will always be the Hafza Doc then to put it into a Jannissair-link and get the points of the akhbar-doc free.
Hi all, After a long hiatus I have started playing infinity again. We are currently playing a league with 200pts for a lot of new armies and players. I used to play QK before deadalus falls changes. Now I struggle with the added wildcard options. Next week I'm playing O-12 (first time!) and we are playing the mission Power Pack. This is my list: Qapu Khalqi ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 1 KAPLAN (Fireteam: Haris) Spitfire / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 29) KAPLAN Engineer Combi Rifle, Adhesive Launcher, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27) LEILA SHARIF Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Shock Marksman Rifle, D-Charges / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) SHIHAB REMOTE HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) HAWWA' (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 21) GHULAM (NCO) Rifle + Light Grenade Launcher (Normal and Smoke Ammo.) / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 16) GHULAM Doctor Plus (MediKit) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) HAFZA Lieutenant Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) WARCOR (360º Visor) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 3) 4 SWC | 199 Points Open in Infinity Army My idea is move forward with the hawwa and kaplan team with Sheila to get the Antenna's. And deploy the Shihab and Fanous as Aro and the hacker nearby.
After some studying I also came up with this list: Because O-12 has a lot of mimetism, I thought it would be wise to bring some MSV2. The Shihab sits on the power pack with the 4 man ghulam squad as back-up while the Djanzaban go to work. Power Pack ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 9 1 DJANBAZAN Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 31) DJANBAZAN (Fireteam: Haris) Shock Marksman Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 30) LEILA SHARIF Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Shock Marksman Rifle, D-Charges / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) SHIHAB REMOTE HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) HAWWA' (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 21) GHULAM Hacker (Hacking Device) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 20) GHULAM (NCO) Rifle + Light Grenade Launcher (Normal and Smoke Ammo.) / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 16) GHULAM Doctor Plus (MediKit) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) HAFZA Lieutenant Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) WARCOR (360º Visor) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 3) 3.5 SWC | 198 Points Open in Infinity Army Half a SWC and 2 pts to spend! Anybody have a good idea for that?
In my experience, a Djanbazan is only as good as his smoke provider, so i'd advise sticking a Yuan Yuan next to the Haris as it throws smoke a bit more reliably compared to a Ghulam NCO. I'd also personally pick the HMG instead of sniper and swap the Djan Haris for an Odalisque Haris for a bit cheaper filler model that can also defend corners with nanopulser. UPD: Nevermind about the Haris Oda, it wouldn't be a legitimate Djan Haris as I've recently found out.
Thanks for the tip. The problem is, we are playing limited insertion. This means I can use all the orders I need. Hence the NCO. Also a HMG puts my SWC up a lot compared to the sniper. For close up I got the two shock marksmanrifles.
I think Djan punch above their weight even when you don't have your own smoke handy. MSV2 reduces visual mods. Make good use of it and lay down some heavy fire. Plus, super-soldiers are awesome.
I mean, now that we have options to use them other than pure Core or single piece (and now that visual mods are seemingly even more common), I find it much harder to justify not taking them in some form.
I wonder: does anyone ever use Hawwa snipers at all? They can be potentially interesting surprise shooting a TR-bot outside 32" to impose -12 to its BS. She can also defend the DZ if you opt to go first, placing mines near your order monkeys. Although an E/Mauler Ghulam can do the same shtick and he's almost half the price of the sniper Hawwa.
Well...That are the only two good things about this Hawwa. For me, they are no shooters and too expensive for what the sniper delivers. You can always find something better for that points. Like an EVO-drone!
I prefer to use Al Hawwa's as specialists and Djanbazan for sniper duties. Especially since QK now has multiple ways to provide smoke. The Djan sniper also has the added benefit of being able to link and deal with pesky warbands tossing smoke grenades. That Hawwa profile is the only mine provider within QK though, although an e/mauler can stop rampaging troops just as well.
Yup, I've been long dreaming of switching the Sniper Rifle for a Marksman Rifle on that profile. After all, al'Hawwa (all of them) essentialy came in Human Sphere (2ed-era), and if memory serves me, Marksman Rifles did not exist back in that moment.
Wow that would be the change of my dreams, too! All these possibilities and holes it would fill...Just awesome!
Well, there's hoping... N4 is on the horizon, might have something to do there... (no, I have zero info on what changes is N4 going to bring, I don't even follow the speculation threads. Merely having a faint hope).
Oh I get it. I don't think _everything_ needs to be plopped in everywhere you can think of. For example, I think that Hassassin Bahram should have gotten a Counterintelligence profile (maybe Barid?) in there. But not the ole QK. Marksmanship rifles were added in to the Djazanbazan but stopped there. Perhaps NCO should have been on a Hafza profile (along with other actual leadership type skills) and not just stuck on a grenade launcher for maximum game nerd optimizing?
Perhaps. Seems CB don't attribute much weight to our opinions, after all. For good or bad. So, since I have no gorram influence on how N4 is going to look like, I'm not going to fret about it. When it comes, it comes. Whatever will be there, will be there. I can live with it (or decide to live without the game at all, it ain't my breathing air after all).
Heh. Given my skimming of the various N4 threads, it's probably just as well they don't listen overly hard.
