It's not really that difficult, the key is to start your painting session with painting them, and then the rest - Then, your tireness at the end will not affect painting quality, since eyes and face is the most critical parts of the miniature. Also, you can paint them with Vallejo Glaze medium - it's a big help, when you are painting such delicate places.
Thanks for the tip! I certainly don't like painting faces or eyes, so I tend to put that off till the end... Well, I do have about a hundred 'civilian' (ish) models I can work on to figure out the process.
Expanding on this, here's the link i used to spam nearly daily on the old forums. I can attest to the fact that not only it does make it far easier to paint the eyes, but also they end up looking better. I also suggest practicing, for this get and paint Reaper Bones 77114: Faceless Horror. It should cost you a couple of bucks and you won't care much about it (therefore the typical apprehension that you're going to "ruin it" won't be an issue), but it has a gazillion eyes. Plus the rest of the mini should be dead easy to paint. Afterwards you won't be afraid of no eyes
Painted Ajax. Some things went not as I expected, but finally it's done in one way or another (This kind of model that travels from one place on painting desk to another)
Thanks ! Funny thing is, that I had doubts about it most of, among the other stuff Also, painted Alke recently...
Painted Dart (Limited Edition) for my Aleph and Acontecimento Infinity armies (Previously planned to use her only in Aristeia)
Major Lunah, painted as a commission. For some reason her face is not the easiest one to paint. Who painted this sculpt of her as well, should understand what I'm talking about...
