Made some bases variants with greenstuffworld acrylic roller pin, but was displeased with the result. So Joan and rest of the Military Order force will have to wait for microart bases... While waiting, currently painting small amount of Yu-Jing models for my friend. This is Gui-Jia pilot. Lesson learned - paint face first, and then the rest..
Yu-Jing starter and Agent with Multi Sniper are finished. Just needed to get that done, so occasionally there are some mistakes...
Thanks ! However, Hsien coat could've been more clean :) Joan is finished - however, her white free-hand crosses will have to wait, since I need to practice free-hand designs like that. Never've done this before, so I don't want to ruin her..
Thanks ! That was quite a while from now on, something as I remember it's very close to the official scheme: Base: Orange Brown Vallejo 1st highlight: Scrofulous Brown Vallejo Shade: Cassandora Yellow (diluted with lahmian medium around 1:2) 2nd highlight: Scrofulous brown with white 50/50 mix, airbrushed only on most lighted areas edge highlights: White mixed with glaze medium by Vallejo Thanks, trying to come back to the Infinity, but Dark Age miniatures currently eats all my time...
New Naga with MSR from Coldfront. Great looking model and design, but sadly, high chances that she will never sees actual game table...
@Orland I like the yellow beige you pulled off on Machaon. The Marut looks lovely as well but I wonder if CB is ever going to make a new sculpt of it down the road in the future? The T.A.G. could use an upgraded look.
I agree, that is the only good looking Machaon I have ever seen. Congrats on rehabilitating what I thought was a derpy model. The Marut on the other hand idk who can help him
He does seem to be smirking. I think Machaon is a good older sculpt. Marut is a she in design but it could use an update to it's look.
Thanks, his face sculpt is made that way, that he is smirking, but that's wasn't easy to follow it with painting. I'm not very happy with faces on "v 1.5 generation" sculpts, sometimes you just have to paint eyes from scratch...
Yet another reason why I don't paint eyes very often. I've painted eyes on Vet Sgt Naaman, who I painted up with a fairly dark African-American (or perhaps North African) skin tone, and on a 300 Leonidas model. Otherwise, I leave them the shadow colors of the skin tone.
