    Chasseurs are on the same groupe for coordinated order lay mine and camo.
    I do make intensive use of speculative fire with mirage 5.

    FtF roll is not MRRf thing so I avoid it as much as possible.

    You can do both, remember the camo it's optional and you can deploy without camo in a link team

    I haven't been visiting the forums in quite some time, but I saw that there is a new Chasseur model incoming.

    Is Merowingia getting an update soon or is it just a single release?

    It just had an update, new Fireteam options for Metros and Moblots and Haris load outs for Loups and Beardscards.

    Buuuuuuuut most of the Merovingia model range is going out of production in August, new Chasseur is to replace the one in the vanilla starter (that's likely to be replaced by a Kazak starter soon), and Margot+Duroc are staying (as they're painted 3 stories high on the outside of CB HQ).

    Merovingia will remain ITS legal in perpetuity, until such a day that FRRM are redone (not going to be soon)

    Aww, I was hoping for a bigger model release - they sure need it. Their stuff is out of scale compared to newer releases, but at least the new Chasseur is really nice. Do you know if there is any way to field it as a non-proxy outside of Ariadna?

    Hunzakut in Druze/Haqq seems like the obvious, mainly as I use the current Hunzakut simply converted as a Chasseur.

    EDIT: Whoops you said non-proxy, in that case it's VanAriadna or FRRM only I'm afraid

    Anyone has experience fielding Knauf in MRRF? Any synergies? I can see him covering firelanes but adding next to nothing to the middle field shenanigans of mrrf

    Phew, I feel he is a bit in a limbo in MRRF. You are starved for MSV and the only other option for that are Briscards, who are pretty much a straight downgrade in FTF but cheaper to compensate.

    Knauf can bring the pain thanks to BS13 and DA+Shock and has a better chance of winning FTF rolls thanks to Mimetism, but he's also very weak defensively with only W1, no shock immunity and no marker state. That's 32 very vulnerable points you probably don't want to risk as an ARO piece.

    As soon as you form a Briscard Core instead, I don't see Knauf fulfilling a meaningful role anymore. Fireteam boni will make up for Knauf's stat advantages in terms of FTF with the added utility of being competent ARO pieces.

    i just started playing MRRF this year so take my experiences with a grain of salt. I run a Loup G core, usually offset on one flank. I use Knauf on my weak side. I’ll deploy him low and in a position that he can see to the midfield where my Chasseur camo tokens are. I don’t expect him to live past first turn, but my hope is that he makes my opponents burn extra orders dealing with his overwatch and the Chasseurs camo/mines. Simply a speed bump on my weak flank so I don’t get rolled over on that side. So far he’s done exactly that with great success. I will often take Bruant in camo on that side and he can perform a decent counter attack.

    I actually played a game of Countermeasures the other day against IA. My opponent ran a Zuoyong Haris with an HMG up my weak side. Knauf slowed them down enough that they were left in a bad position midfield and my Chasseur and Wardriver (yes, you heard that right) overran the Haris and broke my opponents flank.

    In addition, if you take Margot, you can really present a flank that appears weak but can offer a very strong counterpunch.

    After using MRRF for a while now, and especially with the N4 buffs to Knauf, he’s become an auto include for me. I no longer use him in ARO and usually save him as my reserve model during deployment. He can be an absolutely brutal offensive piece on your opponents “weak” flank. He would regularly make back 3-4x his points back with a fairly low order expenditure.

    I agree, i can't see me not taking him. He's got an excellent set of weapons, skills and kit that the sectoral really needs. As it is, I think both knauf and wolff are auto includes for me

    Where he really shined, if the opportunity was there, was to first clear off secondary ARO pieces on the weak flank. Then move up midfield and shoot cross table at the midfield skirmishers. I’ve even pushed him across the table into my opponents deployment zone and used him as a CQB killer. His +1B AP Heavy pistol with MSV1 and Mim -3 make him just as brutal up close.

    Same, game before last I had him storm a sniper tower with his heavy pistol. He's no slouch in CC either. Proper jack of all trades!
