Move-Move vs Move-Dodge

On units like the Hsien and Zuyong, with 6-2 move and dodge +1” is there any reason not to do move-dodge for 9” whenever you would otherwise move-move for 8”?
Same for the crane agents 4-4 move and +2” dodge, no extra distance but dodge movement does not trigger new AROs?

You need to succeed a PH roll to get the dodge-move. So some risk for potential reward.

Ahh of course. You still need to make the roll regardless! I was blinded by greed :)
