KHD can use impersonator marker state, its the assault hd what is vulnerable without camo state. Also the Tinbot A protects him from non KHD hacking.

Don't forget Tinbot A giving all enemy hackers -3 to their roll, and potentially Fairy Dust or Kaleidoscope on top of that!

Deflector, Firewall, and Kaleidoscope are all separate rules so they all stack.

Fairy Dust and Kaleidoscope don't stack because they're both Supportware, but you can also get Firewall from a friendly repeater.

Not to mention the Magisters count as Teutons. You can ditch the Teutons entirely and just throw run Magisters with Santiagos.

"Certain pieces of Equipment, Hacking Devices, and programs incorporate defense mechanisms against Hacking Attacks. These defenses are codified in the Firewall rule, which applies a series of MODs to hinder the Attack and enhance the target's protection.

In game terms, Firewall imposes an additional -3 MOD to the WIP of the trooper who declared the Hacking Attack. Additionally, Firewall grants the target of the Attack a +3 BTS MOD.

Firewall MODs apply only once per Roll, regardless of the number of intervening Firewalls."

    Also under the Kaleidoscope rules:

You're forgetting the tinbot. That makes his redrums punch like lightning. He's quite the hacker in all actuality.

That is true, but I think Teuton NCO can be more useful in such team than Santiago. Especially since I can still include a Santiago KHD. This is why I think Teutons might work well in a Core, when there's place to fit all we want. Haris is a different beast altogether.

Seriously, why CB decided to leave Teutons as is is a giant question mark.

Also deflector is NOT a firewall. It's just a straight hacking mod.

So then the truth is in between our interpretations. Deflector stacks with anything, but nothing else stacks with eachother.

its still a big question mark for me to place a teuton into fireteam when it makes it so much more vulnerable, using a teuton will make my fireteam feel like aro city, where before i could sneak around board unmolested.

also wish we'd seen some lt2 and that teuton have tactical awareness instead of nco, if they were going to remain unchanged otherwise

The problem with him is what is he taking the Lt order from and is it worth it? Our lts are quite expensive to begin with and you have to pay at least 70 odd points for the privilege. I would try to never steal Joan's order as the free coordinated order is golden. I would really like a reason for anything about the Teutons to he good but slapping NCO on it just doesn't do anything.

I missed the Kaleidoscope note, but you can still get -6 by combining with Deflector

That is true, the amount of hackers - especially hidden ones - needs to be taken into consideration. But let's also consider how dangerous such hacking is. I'm talking about mixed team of Teuton NCO, Santiago KHD, rest is most likely Magisters. A hacker can ARO against Teuton - which has BTS 6 and is protected by Deflector as well. Worst thing that can happen to him is Isolation - against a hidden hacker like a Spektr it's 19% risk, assuming the Teuton uses Reset. Now that hacker revealed himself, Santiago moves in and probably blasts his brains out; or simply maneuvers to shoot the hacker.

It's all a question of order efficiency. You can have Joan operating on one flank, Teuton link on the other one, and use Lt. order where it will do most good.

I see what you mean but at that point i'd prefer the santiago pointman for additional versatility that still side steps the issue alltogether. Hell I love the ability to deny change facing aros and hit people with burst 3 magister templates.

it is still baffling teuton dont have a boarding shotgun profile. A boarding shotgun/smg with no panzer fausts should have been bloody cheap and useful .

overall it is insanity that after all the threads this forum has seen asking for a change, the response was basically to double down and tell us we dont know good shit when we see it

I am assuming it also would allow us to use the lieutenant order if the actual lt is in a fireteam?

Currently the Teuton is the only model in Vanilla PanO with the NCO skill. So that makes them useful outside of MO.

That would require another model, and probably force them to figure out what they were going to do with the unit. Also they did get something, Haris + Speciliast Operative and NCO.

the mediocrity of which is outstanding, and the fact that it did absolutely zero to address the concerns raised time and again. There has to come a point where tens of thousands of hours invested into the game by players HAS to mean something to designers.

We are in a situation, where we have multiple Duo and Haris links at our disposal. Joan D'Arc included.
The free coordinated option she provides might not be possible, considering how you build your list.

With the new MO, I suspect LImited Insertion will be even more viable due to the link options just mentioned, so if we have our generic list building as:
    5-man core
    3-man Haris
    2-man Duo
    - Joan D'Arc in the Duo wont let us use her lt. order anyway. Might be more beneficial with NCO
We can probably see more with 5-Core, and 2 Duo links and a Warcor.
    - Again, Joan is first limited by the Duo link, and second by the rather off-putting choice of only moving her Warcor in the spearhead.

Even if you have a more classic feel to the list building, you can have a 5-man core, 2 cheerleaders (Warcor/Techbee), Joan and 2 extras.
The classic link of 2 Hospitaller+3 Magisters leave just enough points for roughly 60points, give or take.
So your options for trickery is TOOS with either MSR or FO, Black Friars, Crusader Brethren or Hacker+Remote. This doesn't leave you with a lot of choices for stuff you either don't have on the table yet or the Remote/Black Friar.

Joan D'Arcs Inspiring Leadership is an amazing skill, but it has a lot going for it, and is Not her only reason to be on the table. Having that BS 15 Spitfire on a 6-2 platform is amazing. or even the +1SWC you can benefit from with regular Joan can put you into a advantage ahead of your opponent.
And for All the things she gives, she's still cheap as dirt to place on the table.
