without the limited insertion order protection its a list that is going to be starting with 8 orders when going first about 100% of the time.

It has an obvious lt. although it has fast moving elements it is still vulnerable to hacking in the midfield specially via repeaters

While I like the list you posted, I'm with @tox about the "if you go first", this is one of the most serious problems when playing this kind of lists. If it is a "to kill mission", of course it could work propertly even with 8 orders in the first turn, you have a really gun power here, but if you need to push buttons, maybe you remain a little short. I suppouse your intention is the first option: "a list to kill", right?

Is the tinbot and the killer hacker not enough to defend the forward team from hacking? Also what’s all this about COC ? Sorry to say I don’t know that acronym but it seems important to know since I am following this thread. How many specialists would y’all want in this type of list if two isn’t enough?

often you will be getting hacked through repeaters so the santiago killer hacker is not a big deterrent or necessarily good killer of enemy hackers .

CoC is chain of command which makes the trooper with the skill become your Lt. if your current one dies , preventing you from entering loss of lt.

So the problem is, if your KHD hacks, then the rest of the team can't reset against attacks without breaking the link. If he resets with the rest, he's not really fulfilling his khd role then. Granted, many of these plays rely on your opponent being willing to go after another piece of the link while eating a free KHD shot, but depending on what your opponent is trying to do, this may not be the best defense to rely on.

My thoughts on MO haven't changed since the update - there's things that work really well, lean, borderline broken profiles. MO does any mission based on a variation of these units.
Teutons - they are too cheap and too fast and too good in melee not to take 3.
Tikbalang is arguably the best Tag in the game, which is also an essential choice for your HMG slot, much easier to manoeuvre and position than a linked HI dude that will get moved forward with the rest of the link.
Trinitarians, any version. SMG for missions, MSR because it helps make your Blackfriar link incredibly difficult to take out in the active turn.
Already mentioned Blackfriar HRL with 4 Crosiers. Because any list can use a BS16 MSV2 ARO at B2 layered with a Trinitarian MSR.
That's basically how I start every MO list, that's around 230 points and the rest is up for preference. The difference between how much stuff you can do with a harris of Trutons and a Tik compared to a link of Hospitallers is not even comparable. Unfortunately the older builds are very weak compared to the new stuff.

I'm just 5 games into Infinity but I agree - the Teutons do so much work at 60-70 points, am I EVER going to use the Hospitallers that I've painted?
I'm finding my lists are Cros Core with HRL, 3 Teutons, a Tik or KotHS, then whatever Rems/Trinitarians etc that the mission requires. It's hard to field anything particularly different. Not that I'm disliking it - when they work they REALLY work! I'm just not sure how much depth they have and how I'm going to go against an opponent who really shuts me into my deployment zone.

You guys have ever tried the Escort Sergeants Hackers? I've tried them and so far, they did an amazing job when paired with De Fersen or a KoJ Hacker. With this, a pair of Peacemakers and some other cheap remotes, you got a fairly good hacking defence as well as a good close range defence. So, you can build the rest of your list toward the active turn and the scenario.
I agree Teutons are really good, but I've tried lists without them and they worked pretty well too. I'm really not found of Crosiers, though. I'm still trying to find what I can really do with them other than what others do elsewhere for better or cheaper. I'm also trying to find how to field Hospitallers in my lists and make them a worth pick. I think De Fersen is awesome, but I've hard time making the others work so far. I'm more and feeling that I should include a Brethren, though. I can't count the times where I was thinking that I would gladly have one in my lists (the decompression zones do a lot for this too, though).

So far, I think MO is really diverse in list building. Though, finding all the hidden gems is really hard because you need to find the combos that work together. Outside of the Tikbalang, I didn't found one unit that worked on its own without help of others for some specific cases that occur quite often. Even Dart and Trinitarians have their limitations at some point. I'm not done yet with MO, I think.

I don't like MO hacking lists at all and I've given them a spin. Massively inferior and harder to pull off, dependant on matchup. De Fesen is too expensive and well, tied to the underperforming Hospitaller link. Order Sargents are okay and all, but compared to the cream units I always ask myself, what's this hacker doing that I wouldn't be doing with Teutons, Trinitarians and a Tik? Hacking sure, but that hacking means my list has deficiency in another more crucial area. All in all, there's a clear best list here for me and for more variety I believe older units needed a serious rework.
