Minotaurs Out-Of-Character Thread

Sorry for the delays, as I had a very horrible Weekend. . .

Yesterday morning went to a Red Cross-sponsored Lab to Test for Genetic Compatibility of My Blood Type, Red-Cells Plasm and even, eventually, Bone Marrow, to donate to some distant relatives that have some inbred hereditary problems (on their family branch, as mine is hopefully 100% without Family-Transmitted problems) but unfortunately there are 0% Matching of usefulness. . .

I was the most healthy and available of the related , but unfortunately I'm not of use for ANY of them (some are at actual risk of impending death for serious levels of Thalassemy and Blood-Decay genetic desorders) and will have to wait for October for further Genetic Test of compatibility for other distantly related branches of the family, that have similar, but slightly different problems. . .

A wasted Sunday Morning, even if I tried My best; honestly I hoped to save some lifes, but could not (and other related "acquired siblings" tested too, but were discarded anyway). . .

And on top of this Work Issues and Family Problems (to avoid waste money on unnecessary projects) continue to pile up. . .

This upcoming evening I should be able to be totally free of issues, and bring the forum-related tasks to fruition, but now I'm a little wary to be too Optimistic as ANY TIME I thought to be able to proceed, R.W. decked Me in the face. . .!!

Almost finished to place any "Chessboard Pieces" (Allied N.P.C. and Enemy Drones alike) on the map with the latest recommendations that You made; taking in account the last discussions about Your Character's issues of survivability You can safely infer that Your Dogwarrior could engage the enemy with the A.P.-loaded Molotok behind safe and sturdy protections of Metal / Concrete and then should You decide to attack some of them in Melee with Your "Giant Teseum Claymore" (such as the Big Archnoid Tank-Drones, powerful from the front, but less armed and armoured on the back) You could obtain it with some good Athletics / Stealh rolls. . .

Especially if. . . . .

You have a lot of Smoke Grenades and their dispenser ordnance-lobbers to cover any Close approach to the three Big Walker Drones (slow and cumbersome, even if devastatingly powerful) for Your character and anyone that You want to help reach (such as the Caledonian Werewolf !!). . .

The "Mad Krabs" Drones are repurposed Industrial Heavy Engines and are Tough and Strong, but are NOT expressively made for Close Combat; should two Melee Specialists like You and @Beodren mamage to SAFELY reach their Sides / Back they COULD be at serious disadvantages, where Teseum and Vorpal Blades could manage to find a chink in their otherwise Heavy Armour. . .

You have the most expressive advantage that Your "Cyborg T.A.G." is deployed at the very onset of the "Battle Stage", as You have seen the Enemy deploy and then answer to the redeployement of Your allied N.P.C. Troopers (and of the available Player Characters). . .

Essentially when I will put the Final Map, You could decide to change some final placement, so that the Enemy is funnelled thorugh some chokepoint of Your decision where Your Firepower will be advantaged. . .

Your T.A.G. will deploy later, but You still will have ample time to assess the situation to engage succesfully the Enemy. . .

A Combat Mechanic like You Character will understand perfectly that the Flyer Drones are far less powerful than the Exoframes of You and Your P.C. Allies (and so COULD be relatively ignored and left to be faced by less "Heavy" Merc Troopers) but that the "Spidertank Drones" are far more heavily Armed and Armoured, and Slower and Bulkier, than Your Geckos (the Kazak Cyborg could be considered on the level of the Nomads Light T.A.G. albeit with some significant Tactical Differences). . .

Also a thing that could be nagging the doubts of Your Character's Mind is that a Rogue A.I. like Svengali SHOULD be able to create a better tactic that this almost-improvisational "Amateurish Attempt". . .

I don't get Your question. .?

Do You want Your T.A.G. to be assembled or not. . .??

You can have it safely "Built" by all the available Drones on the Shuttle, and able to be deployed (Initiative and Map-Placement) AFTER the "Cyber-Kazak" and Tony's Gecko, and be of comparable Stat Level than the Mechanic one (but with Lighter Armour and less "Hit Points" due to the less heavier frame used to accomodate Stealth / T.O. Camo tech). . .

Could be considered to be armed with Vulkan Shotguns, Fire Rocket Pods and other Flame-Based Weaponry, should You like it. . .

Or do You like more to be able to able to go on foot with Your Ancillary Drone (and so be able to use effectively Smoke Cover and synergize better with "Lighter Troops" like the Morat and the Dogwarrior). . . . .???

I will try to have the definite Map ready for Tonight, but anyone will be able to change some Final Placements that they would like more their Characters to have, along with different and preferred Tactics. . . . .

If You like more to fight "Unarmoured" and leave the assembly of Your T.A.G. at a less hectic moment, then I have no problem to try to scale down a little the Opposition Level. . .

After all My aim is to have Players to enjoy a well balanced challenge with their "Tactical ROLL-Play" and, especially, their Theatrical ROLE-Play and not following a "Scripted Folio" by a Deus-Ex-Machina (had in the past TOO many good G.M. with GREAT descriptive skills that ruined a very interesting Plot with a "Movie Director" approach). . .

Do anyone of You think that a "T.A.G. Battle" level kind of opposition is a little too much for Now and You would like more to "Downscale" the threat levele to "Proofread" Your Characters. . .??

If the Airport Battlefield Scene seems too much hectic, chaotic, confuse and filled with unnecessary N.P.C. then I could gloss it also, by applying the very good forethought Tactical Ideas of Yours Characters and then proceed with some kind of "Mission Test" that is more centered on the Players, and the Players alone. . .

I wanted to create a complex and immersive Background for the Minotaurs Mercenary Company, but MAYBE I have unwittingly moved the limelights away from the Player Characters that SHOULD ALWAYS stay at centerpiece scene (maybe this also had caused the others to "Drop Off"). . .

Let Me know and I will adjust accordingly, as soon as usual R.W. Issues let Me. . . . .

No need to borrow some kind of Heavy Sniper Rifle (although there will be aplenty around should You need it !!); Your Custom Molotok is good enough for BOTH precise single shot and long, controlled bursts to fend off the Flying Drones. . .

Aknowledged that You will try to reach the back / underside of the clumsy Tank Drones when You have good enough cover by Smoke, N.P.C. Support Fire and other Team-Mates actions. . .

Good to hear You still in the saddle, Mate ! I assume that with the Jump-Tether deployement then Your Melee-Centric Heavy T.A.G. could be easily lying in ambush to attack the big, clumsy Archnoid "Madkrabs". . .

Or if You like more something risky, but very flashy and spectacular (and TOTALLY in the Style of Your P.C.) then You could have jumped from the Shuttle directly to the secondary Control Tower and, from this high vantage point, try to stab one of the Flyer "Angry Hornet" Drones directly IN MID AIR with a "Spear Thrust Jump". . .

Should You manage to do enough Success on the Roll a Heavy Frame like Your Guijia-Sized Exosuit (with extra armour on boot) will be guaranteed to bisect in two one of the smaller Enemies. . .

Or a "Death-From-Above" attack on the heavier Spidertanks would do a lot of damage (but PROBABLY do not destroy one in a single strike). . .

As usual every FUCKIN NEW MONTH arrive some bad News (capital BAD !!) to strike Me in the head, as if the issues of last month weren't enough. . .

Yesterday evening, My 80+ Years Old Mother has been threatened with Legal Actions by stupid and nosy neighbours that don't like the manners with whom She organize and keep Her Garden, adjoining to theirs in their shared Condominium. . .

Apparently they consider the greens and bushes that She has no time nor remaining strenght to trim at a "Beverly Hills' Estate Level" to the level of "Abandoned Trash", going to the level of "Fermented Summer Waste" and have even threatened to call the Hygiene Officers and Municipal Employes to take care of the issue. . .

This is just the last of the problems that She have with some neighbour families comparatively nearby Her age, as old issues with neighbours exacerbates during Summer, but NEVER BEFOREHAND it has boiled down to menacing of Court Summoning and Lawyers Inferences to defend Herself. . .

As My mother is now 580 Km (and a whole swat of the Mediterranean Sea) from the ACTUAL residence, nearby where I'm now to work on another Family Property for maintenance and keep-up, the actual "Courtly Summoning" before a Public Officer had made Her considerably Paranoid to waste Money and Time that She does NOT really have. . .

I'm trying to help Her at the best of My (albeit VERY limited) Skills and Possibilities, but there is not so much that I cannot do from there; My Brother (that is a Police Officer) and His wife (that is a Paralegal Assistant Lawyer) has mobilized to try to smooth the problem and try to solve the issue without My mother wasting Money and Time on a lenghty, unnecessary travel. . .

My brother is sure to solve the thing in a RELATIVELY brief windows of time, but still now I have to take care of the actual Legal Issues, by downloading and printing the Legal Papers, having My Mother put Her signature, scanning it and forwarding to our Defence Attorney. . .

This fricking legal problem is ON TOP of all the other Shit that I had to endure last months, with other problems of Work Offers, Job Interviews, Managing Family Banking and solving some problems (amicably at least) with My Ex. . .

I hope to cancel all these problems in a relatively short time, but OBVIOUSLY this will Hinder and Slow even further every possibility that I have to forward plot and gamemastering. . .

At least I'm sure that is JUST a temporary issue and that I DO NOT NEED to put on hold anything that We share as a project, but is keeping Me at even a more "Snail Pace" than usual. . .

I had, Last Year, a very shitty Summer, but this is coming to become even worse. . .

Anyway I will endure even this and try to continue to soldier on against ANY possible problems. . .

Yeah, when shit hit the fan in my life is usually by the truckloads. . .

I'm party of the idea that of the problem keep harassing Me and Family for lenghty times (at the moment I'm abroad, writing from Smartphone, while awaiting answers from concerned parties to acknowledge the Legal Progressions, yet done in hurry and haste !!) to move a little the story. . .

The Drones were thought to give all Players a taste of Teamworks for the first time and not mire anyone in an unnecessary lenghty process. . .

If we are of this Idea, then ALL Players could describe in Roleplay the eliminatipn of 1-2 flyer light drones each, and how they were forced to collaborate in a tactically sound manner to vanquish the heavier Tank ones. . .

Then anyone could procede to narrate Now each Player Character starete to bond with and team-mates, with good opportunità of Roleplay to ne rewarded with XP and Personalized Custom Gear. . .

Ad sono ad I'm lessi harassed by R.W. the standard format could be resumed. . .

Very cool description of Your character's actions, and also very well written, but the "Crab Tank" Drones SHOULD be a little more tough to vanquish of compared to the lighter flying ones. . .

Even with the help of the two SBS sentries it need some more effort to bring one down. . .

Maybe next Player who write will work how its Character will take advantage of the fact that Uja has destroyed Optical Sensors and other sensible weak spots with some story of Superheavy Sniper Gun that the Morat picked up (a sort of MK12 shaped like an Ariadnan Barrett Rifle). . .

Comparatively the "Angry Hornets" buzzing overhead could be dispatched and disposed of by a single PC in their single narrative post. . .

Let's assume the Shuttle has landed and passenger Player Characters could act. . .

On my side still nothing good; still awaiting to know if the Actions taken on behalf of my Mother had good results or not!!!
