as mentioned on anther thread i like the overall look of the s5 sepulchre fatsuit but have mixed feelings about repurposing and shrinking the mk2 cutter body.
The santiago model makes me look forward to a new box, I love the slowly drawing blade pose. The old distinctive helmet going away is a bit sad. Anybody else noticed none of the new models have the inscribed blades anymore ? I honestly enjoyed how chunky those were modeling Wise since they didn't bend as easily
I noticed, this is going to make painting reflections simpler. It's really awkward to properly make the inscriptions visible, even to very experienced painters.
Hi there I'm back and full steam ahead on the hype train. And I have already pre-ordered the new shiny knights-in-spaaace bundle. Indeed I had to, and to do it fast, before subpar profiles drop on wednesday and spoil all the happiness - as usual with MO. Also looking forward to @eciu upcoming tactical commentary ...
Thanks for asking. Well I will try to make an update to the thread and update everything. But it will take time, both due to needed number of games and an actual writing process (and proofreading - I'm terrible writer), and recently I really have less time (that annoying side effect of doing good/important work is that you have less free time ;P).
Are the rules supposed to be out? I see March 8th on the main website, with the Military Orders logo looming, but maybe thats just the date to order the new models. Keep jumping on army, clicking the KotHS and he's still S2 =(
No, new profiles will be shown on Wednesday. Full rules in Army7 will likely come some time after this week, but don't expect it to be super soon I'd wager a week or two after.
I really doubt that CB ever released army update of a product that's currently in pre-order, which ends on 23rd. I expect army update somewhere between 23.03 and 26.04~ (when april releases hit stores)
MENDOZA WTFFFF Thank GOD that monster can’t link because holy Jesus. BS 14, ODD, and Continuous Damage Multi Rifle?! This man is a monster. I love it.
Coming from a position of "Military Orders sucked in N3 and was unplayable in N4 with -2 orders" gonna take a look at the army list. Wish I had the old one saved since there will be subtle changes. Quick take MO changes cheat sheet Knight Stuff S5 Sepulchre seems pretty solid. A big, stupid BS14 AP HMG in a faction that is used to running spitfires. Could literally just be that, but also got +1 DAM, has surprise attack+holoecho and BTS 9. Also has CC+1 DAM for some reason (probably just bloat). Seems solid. Teutonic Knights/Magister profile essentially just mashed together. No berserk, but kept dodge bonuses. We get a 19pt Magister, a 19pt Knight LT, and keep the NCO Spitfire etc that Teutonics brought as well as Santiago wildcards. The downsides? AVA 3. Not enough for a core. Thats annoying, but the rest of the changes are sweet. Mendozaaaaaa!!!! An FD+8 ODD Continuous Damage megachad. Has a ton of capability for wrecking shit up close and after facing Azrails lately, I have mad respect for continuous damage. A major consideration for the faction. Also available in vanilla PanO - I feel he will be more impactful there to be honest. No-armor plebs Machinist linkable option with mines, can join up with the Crosiers or Order Sgts. I dunno why you would take the Machinist himself, but I do respect adding mines to the link. Konstantinos Wildcard. I do believe he was Order Sgt only before, and I don't recall him having mimetism. Potentially a nice addition to knight blobs so they can firehose down camo, or at least discover it better. Is a wannable Ko Dali at close quarters which can put out more firepower than most knights within 8. Order Sgts downgraded in importance a lot. AVA 4, Haris only. Pretty much the same as before. Can join a Crosiers fireteam. I don't actually see a meaningful purpose of these existing and not just being incorporated into the Crosier profile. Crosiers are pretty much 11pt Order Sgts, down to the MSV2 spitfire that is linkable. Knight Commander: Backline LT, but gives LT+1 Order and can disguise as random Crosiers. I'm glad it exists and am not even mad about the bloat. Black Frier got a cheaper HRO option, and became more useful due to being able to join a more viable 5 man core of Crosiers. I do wish it had shock imm or something but I guess we don't get everything. --- Miss anything major? I think the faction looks pretty damn good atm. Would have loooved a linkable sensor but I guess those old camo swarms aren't as big an issue anymore. Otherwise, stopped charging too much for cheerleaders, stopped making the magister so shit, and we have a knight based HMG thats worth using outside a link. I'm pretty happy with it
