There are no tables in our meta where single long-range weapon can cover all of your deployement zone, so you always have an option and route to move out into effective range of spitfire. In this list i have three attacking spitfires which means that at least one will have a chance to get into optimal range to get those 24"+ ARO units. Or we can always try and smoke them out with panzerfausts, but that one may be too pricey in order perspective (with using mulebots to rearm Teuton).
Yesterday had a game against Varuna with HMG orc in full link, HMG Camau in Haris and one frog with LRL. Even though that Orc covered both Santiago link and Teuton haris Bulleter that was deployed as a reserve managed to get into 24" range and shred that guy.
But i see your point and that's why thinking about second tournament list which will feel more comfortable on tables with more open spaces.

Congratulations your opponent already succeded in his deployment (if the detour you had to take was long enough).

(remember ARO is not about killing other guy but slowing them down. All ARO kills are "just a bonus")

I can't see where or how he succeded if you have to move deeper into the table anyway (do mission/cover flanks/routes/just to kill stuff). Killing threats that are in your way is "just a bonus" as you say) Especially if those threats are not only order sponges (TR bot f.e.; but also potential threats that can cause havoc to your army in their active turn if you will not take them down before they could move to a better angle or closer to the mission objective).

I had a ablst with this list on Moscow Satellite last weekend - one draw (multiple autistic decisions) against Bakunin on Annihilation, loose (was too greedy on completing my classified obj. and mission really sucked - hunting party against Bakunin without any specialists on the table) and two wins against Corregidor (Supplies) and Imperial Service (looting and sabotaging).
    The list:

I've updated the unit entries. I still have to add Dart and Tikbalang.

Also pending is a writeup about advised and suggested gameplay of new MO (use 1/2 small rambos and wait with link till 3rd turn).

Hello all. I am new to the game and want to build a list thats legal and looks good. I will be learning basics with other new players away from any city centers where people play unfortunately.

I am trying to get these models:

    Military Orders
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    10
JOAN OF ARC Lieutenant MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, DA CCW. (+1 | 50)
KNIGHT OF SANTIAGO Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, D-Charges + 1 TinBot A (Deflector L1) / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 38)
DE FERSEN Spitfire / Pistol, Templar CCW (AP + Shock). (2 | 56)
KNIGHT HOSPITALLER Doctor (MediKit) MULTI Rifle / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 39)
KNIGHT HOSPITALLER HMG / Pistol, DA CCW. (2 | 39)
ORDER SERGEANT Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 15)
ORDER SERGEANT MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 21)
ORDER SERGEANT Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13)
ORDER SERGEANT Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13)
ORDER SERGEANT Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13)

Can anyone help me figure out what box sets to search google for? i only ordered the Joan special edition so far, De Fersen is easy as a named character, but it seems like there are a few different boxes that each of the others MIGHT come in depending on the weapon choices. I would not mind advice on list building, but this is more about how great they look. (please help with tinbot too, i dont see that panO actually gets one?)

    thanks in advance!

    Hi to the forums :)

PanO first Tinbot will be arriving with an ORCs box (which should be released in 1-2 months).

Regarding the list itself I would drop 2 Order Sergeants for the Warcor+Techbee (they cost 8 pts togehter) as they are regular with Joan LT on board.

With saved points upgrade the OS Sniper to TO OS Sniper or buy Knight of the Holy Sepulchre (old but a great model) for a secondary attack piece/ CoC insurence once your Joan dies.

Fersen while being a great model is not a particullary great unit, thus if you will be pushed for points drop him, take a Hospitaller BSG, and upgrade someone (another TO sniper ? ).

Thanks for the information about the tin bot. I was pulling my hair out on that one. I think nearly everything else is in the big 300 pt. MO box also.

Well technicly the tinbots are only decoration, there's no difference if it is or not represented on table.

Also you can use (as quite good proxy) any Palmbot as a Tinbot.

I just have to say, reading "wildcart" drives me nuts. Its wildcard. It's a poker term. Like 2s are wild.

    Hello again,

I got stuff in the mail and have 60% built now. The hospitallers are huge! I played a test game with another gentleman and it came up that I am trying to group a core fireteam of order sergeants a crusader fireteam pain train. Can i do that with the Military Orders?

not trying to do a batrep but we needed more than the operation coldfront terrain, i got 1st turn and killled all but his ariadna ratnik. so +1 to MO so far.

    thanks!

You can't have two Core teams at once, but you can have troopers for two and swap between them.

You might want to consider taking the Haris Dr in your Crusade team, so you can make that when you break the Crusade Core.

I realize that 2 cores is not ok. Does that mean a crusade counts as a core?

Here you can find list of possible fire/link teams for MO:
    http://infinitythewiki.com/en/List_of_Fireteams#Military_Orders

you can notice that next to Hospitalier Knights there's a "Special Fireteam: Core. Crusade Fireteam", meaning this special fire team counts as a CORE team. And according to game rules, you can have only 1 core team on the table.

Having come middling of the pack (more onto the lower end) in the last league we did.

What are the recommendations as of now?

I feel that in many cases this is a borderline uphill battle. With my last game being ridiculous as my 31pts hospitallier knight was better off not attacking a 13pts makaul in meelee. Like, I know that's more because Tohaa are a balance issue but... It's disheartening, really. I started brimming with confidence but it has been disheartening. But I don't want to give up with them yet.

What do you guys feel is the way to go?

It is. If you like uphill battles MO is a great pick. But you might get frustrated/burnedout after some time. Then go find some decent/well rounded faction (ASA/VIRD/NCA/OSS/TAK etc.) and get yourself some well earned holidays :)

Yep. Enjoy that a lot of new factions have quite nice "melee specialist" who will very much to get into CC with you, but usually YOU don't want to go into melee unless you are against a guy in smoke or some really specific target (non Steel Phalanx ODD, some TAGs etc.).
Well either embrace "uphill battle" or git gud. Or ask @daboarder for some tips about how MO strikes stronger than other PanO sectorials (which I find surprising as I don't recall Hospitallers getting Fulla Auto or Fatality on their HMGs....)
