The Zencha, yeah, that makes sense it's a strong profile in a vacuum and as a Pan-O player you already have access to a better Zencha in the form of Dart (she's bioimmune the Zencha dies to mines). The Hulang though, what's your reasoning? It's a profile that struggles to be useful in IA because no smoke. When you give it monks to set up for it it can work well enough in Vanilla, but Pan-O much like IA kinda lack that warband smoke.
PanO has a lot of great models that start up the board but no real “anchor” to that midfield presence. We used to have one with the MechDep Montesas (but I’m not really mourning that change). Hulangs are tough, have great short range weaponry or a DTW, E/M, good at CC, specialists and can do a decent number of Classifieds. I really like the combi/LFT profile overall, combine that with a Peacemaker HSG, Naga/Zulu Cobra/Locust /TOFOOS (depending on sectorial), and that’s a pretty credible threat starting right up on objectives. I also don’t think that smoke is essential for using the Hulang. If you want to missile the monoCCW into something first turn, yeah you gotta smoke it. But using the Hulang as an anchor for one flank and going hunting in turn 2-3, primarily leveraging E/M or ballistic weaponry and using CC to bully TAGs and HI, I think that’s a more useful way to go about playing them. Overall I rate it as a great second wave attack piece, you don’t have to spend a lot of orders on it, and it anchors a flank well. And yes, Dart is amazing. We can all agree on that one!
Ummm... are you aware you get Sepulchre Knights with BS14, Surprise Shot and access to a real gun with FD2? The main complaint IA has with the Hulang is he's kinda shit at shooting. BS12 and a Combi means he's pretty vulnerable to getting locked down by stuff he can't shoot his way past. Stabbing stuff with the monofilament weapon is cool on paper, but it's really hard to get him to connect on shit. One of the more common obstacles I've had mine run into is there's a flash pulse bot hiding at the back of the table. It's on a weird angle so it's hard for another model to pick it off without coming up to where the Hulang is standing, and it's 16-24" from the Hulang so it can't shoot for shit back at it. If you don't have smoke you can deploy you're basically either stuck, or you have to just run the risk of getting flash pulsed while trying to close in on a target and wasting a bunch of orders moving to no effect. It needs smoke in its current state to be effective. It really sucks at projecting danger and gets locked down by trivial shit without it. It's also a terrible second wave attack piece. If you lose your main attack piece. i.e. the dude with the big guns the Hulang is utterly fucked. He has no camo state to maneuver, no smoke in this case either, and it's quite mediocre in terms of firepower itself so it can't actually get into position on its own. The Hulang can be pretty decent once you back him up with Smoke, and it actually benefits alot from Strategos. But for Pan-O? No, it'd be utterly fucking shit for you at worst, and at best just a less effective Dart/Sepulchre
Forgot about NuSepulchre, I haven’t played MO since the update. Thanks for reminding me! That’s a valid complaint, with only a combi or SMGs it’s easy to get locked down and outranged.

Does Knaufs hair gets grey? Anyway, not the smartes idea to put him in a DF box. Fortunatly I have him already in a better Version and don´t have the intent to play druze. The NGO gal look nice, but is not a must have. Patsy look like. Maybe I get her, when I start Varuna - if she is not oop by the time ;-) Zhayedan and Taagma look all nice and fortunatly not my fractions. The Zencha will be mine soon. Not only because he is the coolest mini this month! Even that the hacker is not my first choice in terms of Zencha.
Yes, Knauf had those 'whitewalls' in Outrage, very first pic of him on page ~6 (pages aren't numbered, it's the page where he's talking about respecting the rules of the hunt to that PanO idiot). To me, it does make sense to put Knauf into a Dire Foes box. The original Outrage LE sculpt is pretty long OOP now, Jethro is in the Outrage characters box, and I really cannot come up with any better 'Dire Foes' pairing than Knauf and Arslan. Patsy does look nice, but she also looks very skinny. More of the 'body-paint' armor school than the much bulkier male ORCs.
Looking at the May release pic on the CB site makes me think CB really loves that Zhayedan Sniper...maybe even twice as much as the rest of them ;) Nothing like quality control (the image quality is also poor)
@Koni I watched the video with interest, and it was great to see CB's headquarters and some of your staff there again; but does this mean that Pili does not regularly wear her Aristeia/Gata cosplay suit to work?
Which is funny because apparently CB's playtesters were using the Hulang as a 1st Turn missile. In IA, which means without smoke.
