Even at the risk of going off topic, I've been buying stuff from them for a few years along with a with a few clubmates. Zero issues. Top quality minis, friendly customer service. Frankly, it's lucky for CB they don't make sci-fi miniatures.
Yeah, it's basically a silly grudge now but I know a few people (including myself) who got screwed out of product when Maelstrom imploded, and were less than impressed when the owner suddenly started a new company making his own models soon after. Mierce do have a good track record in both retail and Kickstarters now though, but a long held semi-irrational grudge seems appropriate as we were talking about Dwarves.
Is that one from the old 15mm range from CB? Either way, there are lots of really good dwarfen and in general fantasy ranges out there, but with what CB would come up with, models and rules wise, is a thing I cant wait to see.
They're from the old Warcrow 28mm fantasy line, the 15mm line was Ancients/Historicals. I know there's another company selling the ancients line under license but the Warcrow models have been sadly OOP for a long time
The natural evolution here is a giant sentient rock with a tactical body under its stony heel to make its rocky pose more dynamic
I made almost exactly this joke to my local group when they teased the tactical rock unit for April fools.
Wasn't sure on the new DeFarsen sculpt from the render, but seeing it painted its pretty damn good. Much better than the old one.
You're not the only one - I just don't like buying from people who took someone else's money and never delivered the product. The models are ace, though, so the whole situatin is a shame. I even have some of the Ys ladies from their line, bought in their fire sales a long time ago.
Btw. do we have any "explanation" what exactly those pipes on Fersen armor are ? (except for questionable "cool factor")
