There were 4 TAGs, 5 if you include the Morat. they were single-piece hard plastic, not SIOCAST.

A single SKU with those four Triphammers, unchanged, together, would not require much work, I think, and could be priced aggressively. I was thinking of grabbing weapons from other kits; I have a large bitzbox... Getting Triphammers for factions you don't really play at a low price might lure people to build armies that match the TAGs, I know that's where my Morat hunting party started.

The TAG-Raid TAGs were PVC, made in China like the Megalodron and Warcrow Adventures, highly doubtful they're planning on them for Gen Con when Warcrow probably won't make delivery by then.

A generic Triphammer, like the generic Digger, would be really neat, and would let them arm up up with military weaponry, unlike the improvised weapons of the Mining TAGs. I'd love a generic Ramhorn, possibly as an alternate head/weapons to a new Scarface.

Sounds highly dubious, and most likely they're getting confused with Joytoy's new Shakush Action Figure. For better or worse CB are committed to Siocast Polyamide. Possibly also confusing Joytoy with Unicool who have done limited edition TAGs for ITS boxes.

So, a single SKU with 4 S7 TAGs, plus a box of weapons from other sets? Like, half of the Shakush's spitfire (as it ocmes in grip-and-stock being part of the arm, and the rest being a separate piece), and not a place on the actual mining Triphammer to put it?

Then, do moulds for the 4 mining TAGs for Siocast moulding, since they were orignally outsourced and made in hard plastic, therefore CB has no moulds nor masters to make them oulds in-house.

...then, finally, find customers who'd pay for 4 TAGs-in-one-box while they need maybe one.

I don't want to sound disrespectful, but man, this really, really doesn't add up...

But it donĀ“t sound like something you want to make for a big TT event like gencon.

For me - bigger stands for nothing good in Infinity - S8 for all factions? Megaladongdongs for everyone? Please not.

I'm still hoping bigger means them rereleasing some old oop Tags and a generic Triphammer and some other stuff.

Ok. I had a wonderfully horrible thought. What if they make a new class of TAG that's even bigger than Size 8? Or more that are size 8? Not just Maggy anymore!

    Let me quote myself here:

At some point they can do a Infinity Epic with Titan size TAGs or Battletech mechs multirocket mega launchers and all that, but please not in the Main System.

And this is a game I could consider playing: Infinity mass combat system, somewhere in the 6-10mm scale range, with infantry on squad bases, TAGs and combat vehicles. Maybe without Titan / Battlemech-things, as they exceed my suspension of disbelief ability, but that's my personal taste.

After the last big thing turned out to be a damp squib I'm actually quite uninterested in the next big thing. But I'd reckon if no new rules are involved it won't be too bad.

I wouldn't be surprised to be getting vehicles at some point.

Rules for stuff like APCs or Humvee type vehicles that could transport other units could be interesting if implemented correctly. A big set of TAG resculpts would be nice as well.

Honestly, the biggest thing I'm hanging on for is Maggie finally getting the rules, profiles and stats she deserves lol.

I just hope it would not be like with Squalo 2.0
When you could not legaly proxy new unit with an old one. (or it required some dances with a drums, which is too much for me.) but I would be happy to see some interesting and good changes on her. In a good way of course.

    To be absolutely honest:

It would be a BLAST to have a 6mm-10mm scale game where one could field massive battles, and we could reproduce the old Pano vs JY wars, the JY vs JSA conflict or the Human Sphere vs CA conflict. Infitnity is an amazing skirmish game and it should stay true to the wet-works, corporation-wars undercover conflict, Syndicate/X-com feeling.

And to be totally honest I am intrigued on how CB would tackle a massive-scale war game in the ways of warmaster or epic/spacemarine

As Infinity gameplay is relying on high density cover pieces, I not sure vehicles to fit easily/nicely into it.
Beside, APC is not what I would consider as 'big' thinking.
Obviously, I'm like anyone here and anything is just pure conjecture.

I saw this info on the dark web: https://interstellargamez.com/blogs/news/gencon-2024
And in the Spanish adepticon video, Bostria's teaser talks about big, armored, powerful things.

So the Gencon release could be a deathmatch mode like Infinity TAG Raid, and if we extrapolate further, it would be a bit like the optional reinforcements mod. And so for the new ITS season we could see the season centered on this new game mode, furthermore there's a connection between TAG Raid and ITS are managed by the same person, Hellois, so there's a chance it could turn out that way.

    Hmm, it would really depend.

First, I believe potential vehicles in Infinity should conform to the silhouette system. Thus, fit on existing bases, more or less. That gives us:
    • 55mm bases, already in use for bikes. This size could cover buggies / bikes with sidecars / ATVs / small jeeps. Able to carry 3-4 S2 models and/or a weapon, in additiion to the crew. They'd have the same problems with mobility as the existing motorcycles have.
    • 70mm bases we see with Maghariba TAG. Size-wise, this could, I guess, fit a large jeep / "technical" / infantry mobility vehicle / armored patrol vehicle / tankette (as in, RL Wiesel or maybe CRV(T)) - I'm using RL examples, I have no idea if these have survived on the Infinity-era battlefields. Note that while Maghariba can navigate many obstacles on a game table due to its tall Silhouette and movement rules, it would be difficult to explain why a wheeled vehicle should be able to do the same, eg. vault a human-sized (S2-tall) obstacle. Unless we'd limit ourselves to walker-type vehicels, but they'd be functionally the same as TAGs in terms of movement.
There's also the problem of attacks against vehicles - especially open / soft-skin vehicles. Would they affect the vehicle itself, a part of it (weapons turret, wheels / tracks, engine....), crew, or carried personnel, if there is such? Do they maneuver like TAGs, REMs and bikes, turning on the spot, or they needd to accelerate, decelerate and turn in specific increments...?

We'd be talking about a whole new layer of rules, governing vehicles, and vehicles only. And I believe it is a rabbit hole Infinity shouldn't go down.

That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing some solution allowing fast transportation of models around the battlefield, on a back seat of a bike, buggy /jeep or specially-buildt TAG. Infinity actually had that at one point - the Braces rule, primarily on the N1/N2-era Maghariba TAGs - but apparently these were more trouble than they were worth, as it was removed... so, maybe it isn't such a good idea.

    I don't know.

TAG Deathmatch has been a staple at Gen Con for many years now, using an evolved version of the Beasts of War rules linked in that article. I wouldn't read anything into it being included again this year other than it's a popular and Saturday night event that usually inspires chaos a good few laughs.

I hear the winner of last year's Gen Con TAG Deathmatch event was strikingly handsome and intelligent though.

I think we followed the same logical steps here.
Nevertheless, my main point was that less "what could fit in" and more "that doesn't match to the 'BIG' teasing" so I really think the truth should be found elsewhere.

Well, I guess a set of side-rules for a side kinda-game of TAG vs TAG could do it. Add a page or two of rules exclusively for that game mode, the models are already out there. Bang, done. People would play it just for the fun of it, and there will be very little effort required from the company.

Apart form that... we'll wait, we'll see.
