Considering the sputnik case, do you think they will make a repack for the armbots?

But they just keep shuffling models from one box to another. Previously you could just get a Lunokhod or Tsyklon if you needed one. Hopefully they won't get rid of Feuerbach...
I mean, why not just make a common chassis with 3 loadouts? Even in siocast if that helps with price. (Yeah, yeah, they need to sell their stockpiles of bots first, I know)
And these koalas are what trigger me the most. Weren't they bought in huge quantities by Nomads from YJ? Why the suddenly have new stuff? Imagine being that guy that got Moran box with now obsolete trash just 6 months ago...

Look at it this way - what if CB kept at least some kind of continuity regarding equipment designs within its setting? To represent similarities with a real world instead of ploping out new stuff from a thin air and old ones never happened. Wouldn't that be better?
So for example these koalas - Nomads got a huge amount of them from YJ, so Nomads should keep the old version of koalas, just update design a bit for modern standard. YJ on the other hand makes these things, so they should get an updated version.
Or the armors for example - there are new updated versions of Mobile Brigadas. But its completely plausable (in-Universe) that some backwater planet, say, Bourak (or a mercenary group) still have some of the old designs of Mobile Brigadas in service, just patched together with better materials/electronics.
Or maybe Geckos - they should never have a drastical redesign - cause Nomads bought the whole stock of them in the Sphere within an hour. And nobody makes these anymore.

In which universe are the old Koalas "obsolete trash"? Damn, chill for a second... Just because a new fancy version of a mini pops up doesn't mean everything else has to go to the bin. The previous Koalas are just fine, even in 2023.

I’ve got to say those Patchers look awesome! I’d pick those up for any sci-fi game. I just hope they aren’t super expensive because I’d like them for Stargrave.

I’d actually wager that it won’t be a repack. The “current” Armbots use the old REM bodies as a base, with “side pods and exhausts” added on to make the two kinds of Armbots. With the REM bodies having changed, might be something different.

Not really, unsold stock, if any, can be smelted back with minimal loss (if any) of alloy, it is one of the major advantages Metal and Siocast have over the HIPS.

What I'm wondering is why the studio scheme for O12 has changed so drastically. The teal blue and mustard yellow of the new pack and the recent releases has very little to do with the dark blue and gold of the original O12. I guess they've changed painters in the meantime, but I don't understand why they don't ask them to use the same color scheme.

I wonder, which material would be that robot with sarko.
If both are metal, I am interested.

Its S2 so as long as CB doesn't change their policy of only big guys are shitcast then Starmada players are safe.

    Those Patchers looks so good.
They will make amazing proxies for Diggers in O-12 with their Astronauts vibes. The shotgun is my favorite !

Sarko and Secudroid are great, but I'm wondering what is this S1: probably the lawkeeper's sidebot?

I hope plastic miniatures for a price drop. I had the Oko/Roadbot and the models were still high quality.

Maybe they are trying to create a visual identity for Starmada different from O12 ?

I ask myself the same kind of question since the departure of A. Giraldez, and CB still sells in partnership, books and vallejo sets with guides to remake the schemes exactly, schemes that were fixed until the departure of Giraldez.
In terms of success, their first book was such a success that it caused the crash of several sites due to the large number of people ^^ Moreover, their books have even re-launched the trend of painting books, in addition to advertising Infinity through the communities of painters, so there is something to be exploited, which they have not done.

And if there is no schemes fixed where is the interest for Vallejo and Giraldez to continue selling this kind of product?
I have the impression that CB has forgotten the part of the people who like to reproduce the schemes of the box they bought because they fell in love with the design and the paint, and my impression is reinforced by the poverty of the painting guides presented in the operation box booklets and in Raveneye, which are at most contents to offer you advice to make a tabletop level. Then there is also the disappearance of most of the hobby articles on their site.

I have the impression that CB is content to let their artists have a total free hand without trying to guide them, but I don't see the added value compared to before.

    I strongly agree.
Adding some wings and a tricorn may be essential on this subject
