Seriously what are you smoking? You need to share that with people. I haven't complained about the Nomads having anything in the Nomad forums. Are you thinking about the thread that I made complaining about the Haqqislam redirection because it's homogenising with Pan-O's toolkit?

What demands? That Guijia not be garbage? That Shang Ji finally un-Teuton themselves? Are you actually saying that rebalancing bad units will break the game and we shouldn't do that for any factions?

On the bright side, with Frenzy being de-nested from Fury that opens up its use in Links. It will really stop being such a no-brainer if that big discount stopped the troop from claiming Cover, especially on ARO pieces like Tankos, Riot Grrls and Magisters. Yu Jing's lack of the thing might even be a benefit for once!

I'm hoping Frenzy removes Cover without needing to wound an enemy and that fireteams don't remove it.

That would be a good change, I think. The former would make it easier to track, without the need to constantly remember which trooper already caused a wound, and which didn't. The latter would deal with the issue of some overperforming fireteams.

The simple fact that you're known outside of the forums as the face for salty YJ conspiracy theories is at best anecdotal, so lets visit some of the recent hills you set up to die on.

Wonder why people don't agree with you on things. Hassassins were unique, but wouldn't work so well in N4 without changes. At the same time it was supremely unfun to run into a wall of Mutts and Daylami Panzerfausts dicing it until something sticks. In chess it's generally better to have some rooks and bishops in there with the pawns. In line with that they got some basic troops that can take care of business (and a devastating HD ARO to provide what Daylami did in a more reliable fashion). Everyone wins, Hassassins troops even used new skill combinations to get there.

For you that was a clear negative "homogenising the game", from a gameplay perspective that's giving Hassassins access to fundamental core mechanics to function as an Infinity Sectorial in an N4 world where Core Linked BS12 without frills isn't gonna make a dent.
To you even using new Skill combinations nobody else has didn't matter. Or a notable lack of SWC weapons on those platforms which keeps them redefining the whole army around them.

Or Nomads having cheap (and fragile) HI with Mobility Skill intrudes on YJ's trademark. Oddly enough forgetting Mobility Skills are a Nomad thing and the new Su-Jian Profile got released before them.

Or how Sombras who are really just an expensive well armoured take on Dart, aren't a new concept or spectacularly min maxed take on it, are the most broken shit ever and should have been HI or lost Shock Immunity. Because the Zencha is shit, so everyone else should be shit.

Or that the leaked Profiles must be fake, they actually attempt (and maybe succeed who knows) to fix some problems, surely CB is incapable of that. Shock Immunity on a Zhencha, blasphemy.

But CB not being out to get YJ wouldn't fit the narrative, so yeah I guess agree to disagree on all points.
Also keeps people busy making juicy YJ memes and I quite enjoy those.

    "The salt must flow" :P

Again that "EVAders are fragile" thing while they are as fragile as all the ARM 3 HI IA got (in fact, they have linkable smoke and an embedded Engineer on top of better mobility so if anything they are LESS fragile). A point is not magically true if you keep repeating it without giving arguments as to why it's so, no matter what our current political and "periodistical" climate might make you think. Also, saying somebody is "known" (by who, I wonder) for complaining doesn't disprove his 100% reasoned points.

In short, if you want to rebate reasoned arguments you have to use reasoned counter arguments, not just "but people knows this is the truth"

I love your classic "but.. but... but... Su Jian!!!" when discussing the apparent cost disparity between several very similar profiles, none of which have anything in common with the Su Jian. Talk about moving goal posts.

Also, news flash: comparing Sombras to Dart does nothing for your "this unit is completely ok" argument.

Finally, you can make all the YJ salt memes you want, but Yj's community reaction to the leaked profiles has been quite positive, but that "doesn't fit the narrative" so you and other like you keep hammering the "YJ salt" idiocy over and over instead of, you know, using real arguments when confronted with questions like "what's the point formula for EVAders?"

Which makes it all the more aggravating to US trying to be positive and discussing things without going into passive-aggressive bait posts (even in other subforums) that as a collective we get to be "represented" by some folk here. Folk that due to the WAY they behave, I feel ashamed to sometimes agree to a post, which I find terrible.

    Quoted pre-edit, fyi.

Thing is pointing out what you don't like about the game or think can be improved doesn't mean you don't like the game

Salty Yu Jing player? Sure. Conspiracy theories? What? What conspiracy theories am I pushing around here?

You say a shitload of things and then never seem to back them up. Ever.

HB already had a doorkicker if they ever needed it in the form of the Asawira, who even without all the units added this time around remains one of the better fighters in that sectorial. All he needed was links being modernised to remain competitive and that happened. As far as the Nadhir goes I like the concept it's just bad execution. The idea of ambushing units is great, it just needs to lose the full TO camo effect and make use of the de-nested rules. Making them cheaper, dropping the MODs and giving them further reaching deployment would let them lean into more numerous HD ambush guys attacking at once from different angles which maintains the whole asymetric gameplay and would be particularly dangerous as an ARO against links, but I digress as that kind of design requires them not to hamfist the whole Tactical Window thing.

It's funny how you missed the whole point of that thread and somehow decided it was about how I hated HB and thought they were going to become OP, when really it was just disappointment over them being forced out of their iconic style by Tactical Window and the game space design being constricted into a smaller box, but I'm really starting to gather from your insane rambling that this is just your evidently low level of reading comprehension.

"I suppose is because the competition with mobile brigada. If they were 2W, they will be too similar. Making MB more expensive would be a problem with Geckos, and so on.."

Functionally that doesn't fix the issue with Brigada though. If they're too expensive and being outclassed by cheaper HI in their own sectorial who do the same job then we're just replicating the N3 Shang Ji and Zuyong problem.

Again, somehow getting that out of a discussion that was being had with internal balance about Evaders and them causing competition issues Brigada, and Brigada needing an extra buff to compete against Evaders who are cheating the points system without crashing into Geckos.

Let me try to spell it out again for you because you are clearly struggling here. Not liking execution of game design where mechanics are being used purely to abuse costing systems without their actual drawbacks and nuances functioning =/= I think Evaders are OP undercosted shit and need to go.

The drawback of pseudo HI versus the supposed benefit of true HI is almost never a consideration because not enough factions have access to Akbar level doctors, so unlike for REMs it makes paying for that extra level of unconsciousness not really worth it. Similar to how Frenzy in N3 is generally slapped onto units purely to discount them with no actual intention of it ever affecting game play, CB are generally just slapping Pseudo NWI/Immune HI discounts on stuff simply to make it cheaper without actually trying to make the benefits and drawbacks between the two types of models manifest organically in actual game play.

That's clumsy game design, I'm not a big fan of it.

Do you attempt to take even a few seconds to digest anything you read before vomiting garbage onto the screen? Yu Jing players don't really care if other models are like the Zencha, their issue is that the Zencha is like the Zencha and would just like the Zencha to just stop being the only HI that gets embarrassed by mines.

That is totally, very true and why sometimes I feel like liking posts from some people (because they make sense, or have solid opinions). But then, why is the general YJ forum looking as a salt mine?

Look at the posts. I mean, take a good deep look at the threads for the last months. Most posts are passive agressive, calling people idiots directly or not, "if you don´t get my poing you are inferior-stupid-don´t know how to play". All this is very childish and as an avid reader of the forums it pains me and diminishes the enjoyment of the forum (the game is great, but the game is something I play with friends locally).

At arms length, it looks more like people is super pissed off at life and is trying to find an enemy. Wether it is CB, a profile you don´t like, a poster... it is easy to get baited. We are just feeding into this salty spiral. Let´s get out of it.

Teslarod, Triumph, I sometimes agree with your points. But I refuse to engage in your posts to discuss what I think we can agree or further discuss of the first line on several posts is a bait or indirect insult. And we are collectively worse for it.

Man, these corona times sure makes the forum interesting to watch.

Well, truth be told, speaking as an ISS player, he is currently almost as mandatory as Kuang Shi.
In vanilla last season, he saw play in nearly 2/3 of my lists. The value of having a DTW specialist in your DZ with perimeter weapons for a measly 20 points was just hard to pass up on, especially when including him in a list never prevented you from reaching 19-20 orders anyways.

I never got to use his DTW and seldom got to use DTWs on similar units. Could be a playstyle thing, could be a meta thing, could be both. Still his little MadCows did a lot of work every time I played him, whether they Boosted or not. For me two Grenade Launchers for 0 SWC is more convincing (or just one) if only to have something to seriously threaten stuff with - now we don't know how Speculative Fire works, but with the improved Spotlight on a Crane...

That said, I somehow doubt he'll have two Grenade Launchers (not light, not heavy, just "Grenade Launcher"). More realistically it'll be Flamethrower (+1 B) or similar DTW modifier

Absolutely true. And it's not taboo to do that on the forum. I was going to bring up examples, but it involved to much name dropping I think.

This feels a lot like a table call-out error than a change. I think xi is an excellent profile in terms of balance of skills to points and would be disappointed disappointed in a major change when there are so many other profiles they could give the functionality to.

If they keep the burst 1 limitation on Spec Fire it's no more scarier than a plasma carbine that only causes a single Arm roll.
