the devs should have given him a multi hmg to match the model at least (still think that cutter hmg looks more like a HRMC).... heavy weapons aside i don't understand lore wise the KoHS chose a fatsuit that provides slightly equal overall specs (if not worse) to moto.tronica's other top-end power armor production lines that you see on KoJ, swiss, or even the custom job for jeanne d'arc.
Yeah, but no servo-reinforced secondary arms were needed. IA’s signature megachonker is relatively svelte by comparison. Which is, like. Funny to write with a straight face.
But... it's not though? TAG grade weapons are Multi HMG or HRMC. He's got an AP HMG. Shang Ji or your average Ariadnan idiot can carry those. I suspect all these models were designed a long time ago and CB did the rules later. It would explain what is clearly a Multi HMG on the model as well as various incorrectly colour coded CCWs on different units.
+1 Damage APHMG, as seen on MO Tikbalang, O-Yoroi, Scarface. A heavier weapon than the Gecko, Seraph, Shakush, Anaconda, Iguana, Sphinx, normal Tik, Xeodron, or Gorgos. Also heavier than anything used by any other PanO HI. Ariadna don't count as they're the only faction daft enough to use unobtainium bullets.
i love my fatsuits, just dont feel they make sense in panO XD CHA' ap HMGs will like to know KoHS' location :P but seriously, the +1dammage only puts its CC PH in line with the base stats of the S2 panO power armor (and on the lower rung of lesser tech fatsuits). his yu jing rival through lacks the +1dammage has a multi or HRMC and many factions have s5 or lower with either Dammage 1+(or higher) and/or AP hmg
1 AZRA'IL AP Heavy Machine Gun / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 40) 1.5 SWC | 40 Points Open in Infinity Army +1 damage AP HMG. It's not a TAG gun mate.
Ok, I revise my statement to say he's S5 because he has a gun commonly seen on TAGs and S5 heavy infantry like the Azra'il and Sogarat
It's Haqq though, they're lower quality. The whole point of the Yan Huo is their bleeding edge tech is entirely about being able to mount a TAG weapon on something smaller than a TAG, and that's why basically have no other special rules to speak of because everything unique about them is actually just their gun (which is a major source of them being shit).
I would also argue that Aza'il is a special example. + BS Attack damage in Infinity can either denote skill or raw weapon caliber. For TAGs or the KotHS, its feels like its the latter, while things like Druze, Azra'il, and Ariadna it is skill based.
I was referring to the lore aspects of it. Haqqislam power armour is bigger and bulkier and generally of a lower technological level than higher tech factions, who's thing is they're supposed to be able to miniaturise something as crazy good as a Hac Tao or KoJ into S2. For Pan-O or Yu Jing being S5 means the armour is supposed to have some other fancy rules attached to it to signify why they couldn't make it smaller.
The Azra'il also has a dodge penalty and no other armor-related frills, which is why it's a lower-tech S5.
Indeed, hence my point of that AP HMG +1 Damage is decidedly not a TAG tier gun if something that low tech is running around with one.
For Ariadna it's the Teseum bullets, no one else is willing to use a spaceship's worth of Teseum to make a few hundred HMG rounds.
+1 Dam AP HMGs seem like the lowest rung of TAG-tier weaponry. Haqq has TAG tech and some pretty decent HI tech (see: Asawiras). They're not Ariadna - they certainly have the ability to install a TAG weapon on an S5, it's just the smallest TAG weapon and isn't as fancy as anything in the HI factions. The Yan Huo's got full-scale TAG weapons and no dodge penalty (which denotes slower, bulkier tech) - and while I certainly think it could use a tweak mechanically - it's unquestionably more advanced than the Azra'il.
