Course, Xenotechs aren't in every scenario. That said, I prefer the Clipper ML to the Tanko in Ikari...

TAK are indeed possibly broken. It sucks to have to build specifically to counter them when trying to build general lists for tourneys, but at least that counter-list also handles other flavors of camo spam, Steel Phalanx, Corregidor, and Caledonians well.

I have an unfortunate feeling after just seeing one of IJW's posts on another thread. Are all hacking programs different types of actions with the specific name of that hacking program? That would SUCK because you couldn't ARO with multiple members of the same linkteam if they have different types of hacking device. Hoping it's not so, but guessing it might be.

How does that work, activating two units with a single order? Am I missing something special about EVOs?

On a more general note about Haidaos:

I am beginning to think that against TAK or any opponent with tons of msoke or camo or both, I will put the MSR Haidao in the link and a KHD Haidao out on their own. Good points early in the thread about moving KHD Haidaos up in Cybermask. This is one of the first units outside of OSS that I would do that with, as they're decent enough to be rambos on their own if needed.

Uhhh, Steel Phalanx literally do not have a single model with any type of camo available to them....

You activate the EVO, and use the EVO hacking device program that buffs every single remote with a repeater.

All hacking programs are separate skills, there is no "Hack Attack" skill analog to "BS Attack" so all members of the Fireteam must ARO with the same program.

As for buffing multiple Chayi, EVO gets Overclock which affects all REM on the board with repeaters, rather than Enhanced Reaction that only affects one REM in ZoC.

MSV2 cuts through ODD too. That's what I'm suggesting, also handy for standard smoke. Forces them to use more orders to toss Eclipse grenades, at the very least, which is bad for Phalanx. I love running linked MSV2 snipers against them, especially if they might survive a shootout with one of their nasty gunners. Bao just die but at least suck up orders.

Right, was thinking active turn, oops.

Another example of a thing that could use cleanup in N4 to make things more simple -and- dynamic. Being able to deploy mines/repeaters/Emaulers with the same coordinated order would be nice too, and help balance the game with a bit more ARO power.

I haven't r un into TAK yet but I think my answer to them is AVA 2 Webing remotes! If somehow I fit in an EVO as well I won't just Sensor them, I'll Target them at the same time!

Not a YJ player, but I was reading though this and had a thought about Free Agent. It gives the opportunity to store the Haidao away and come in later and join up with a fireteam that has been whittled down.

In OperationS I've been playing around with keeping some extra units (Deva AHD and CSU Special Operatives) to fill back in on a Dakini link if needed and it helps a lot in recovery from a bad round/roll while still giving units that can do score objectives on their own if needed. I can see the KHD working well for that actually. They can use their marker state to take objectives and move into position to freely.
