I personally go for bolts that move and SG but yes, Fuciliers are quite good and a far cheaper solution, ASA I cannot get it work as I like, probably because I do not use the Aleph units I should use.

MO its difficult to go off the preset path, the best and most flexible lists I use have 0 knights and it is a bad thing for me.

The weapons the unit has in the profile is irrelevant to the visual shape, Simply put the shoulder mounted panzerfaust is cool and high tech, but not visible on the table.

So are all panzerfausts on other miniaturs who are not ML.

Also, since when "unique silluete" is a thing, if we just got newest proxy rules updates which allow to proxy anyone with anyone ?

we are discussing a design principle in miniature design, not rules, correct?

You have to admit eciu has a point. It doesnt make sense to visually sculpt the panzerfaust on one model, when it is present on all models except the missile launcher.

This will lead to confusion among players who arent familiar with MO in games.

They will basically ask why the others dont have panzerfausts on the figures, and it will lead to a lot of sour feelings from people who will be surprised when they get hit by panzerfausts from models not visually carrying them .

Which apparently does touch the case of miniature usage on a table.

I agree, but I can see the design reasons for the change.

It's hilarious now when you deploy "sword' Magister knight on table, next to Aquila and try to explain your opponent the situation xD

I want to like the new Magister Knights but at the same time I already have 5 painted, nicely, and they all have the neato shoulder mounted Pfausts.
I mean I could rip them all off and mount them on the new guys...

    Really?

    Wow.

In a game which literally just changed the tournament rules to "run whatever model you want as long as you can get it past a TO" you are going to argue that this is a WYSIWYG change?

In a game where open information army lists break down the loadout of every model, you are going to argue that this is a necessary change?

In a game with over 12 different current styles of combi-rifle available on miniatures currently for sale in the store you are arguing that THIS was confusing enough to justify such a retrograde change.

Actually, yes. I could totally see CB making a needless change like this for WYSIWYG reasons.

I honestly want to see how they stack up size wise vs the current magisters.

If it's anything like the Hospital Knights (and that's who they are designed to go with) then they are going to make the old ones look like sickly midgets.
