Greetings all, for the past ~7 months I've been reading this forum religiously several times a day, learning from all of you, while I learned to play Infinity. (So thank you for that.)

I am going to play in my first Tournament in about 6 weeks and since its timed, I wanted to bring smaller lists, and models I'd be excited to paint, I don't expect to win, but just want to get the experience.

That being said, since I finally had something to say, I wanted some Feedback.

The Scenarios are : Firefight, Power Pack, Safe Area.

My First list uses a Shang JI with a Zanshi core to save some points, I intend to use the mowang and FTO duo'd to just throw Panzers down while zencha do the sneakies.

I'm debating swapping the ShangJI for a Haido MSV2 Sniper, maybe tighten up some points to spend on other goodies, but that would leave that group without something that sprays hot lead..

My second list, is pretty much JUST for firefight, and since our troops are so expensive, I just paired it down to Limited Insertion, with a harris and a Core.

I actually really only get to play 2 players in our local meta (too much 40k and warmachine) -- so this is the first time I get to play the rest of the players.

Anyway thanks for readying all that, thank you for being awesome teachers and a great community!

I'm not the most experienced IA player, but I didn't want to leave your first post uncommented, so here we go!

I'm not a big fan of the first list, mostly because I think it would be stopped in its tracks by a Kamau or Dakini sniper. You'd need to move a full core within 24" and I think that might be a challenge... Not sure how to solve it easily though. I would definitely change the two Zhenshas to SMG profiles, saving 6p, gaining mines and going from B1 to B2 in the Power Pack sat zone. Haven't tried the Shang Ji in a link but I'm not sold on paper...

Liking the other list a lot more. I would swap Tai Sheng to the haris instead though, to be able to hit harder if you need to move up the board to remove hackers.

Thanks for the reply, truly. You're totally right about the Zenchas, they were supposed to be DEP Minelayers but since I normally don't use armybuilder, (I use Maya for iPad) I clicked the wrong profile. (the missing points went to a second Yaozao)

I've been going back and forth on the shang Ji, cause its horribly ineffcient but it gives a zanshi core an additional order, and a strong attack piece.. however your point about the dakini's made me rethink my position, and decided the core will be a defensive/aro block instead:

I swapped the Shang Ji for a Haido with MSV2 I love this unit SO much, the only reason I don't use it every game is the whole KHD and only one wildcard.

With the points I saved, I upgraded a Chaiyi to a Weibing, giving me one more scoring specialist and most importantly triangulated fire/sensor and if I'm desperate satlock

Unless I failed at army builder totally for a second time, this should be right (at bottom of post)

I'm actually playing the second list today, and you're right about where Tai Sheng should go, I figured since everything was a Zyuong or a wildcard I'd decide what my fireteams were on the table.

    Thanks again for the feedback.

The revised list is definitely one I'd like to try. Keep in mind if you're going second that you might need the Haidao for long range attacks, so no aggressive AROs first turn...

As for an advice, swap one yaozao for a Warcor in group 2, it provide some ARO or regular token (with C token and can be used to move as xenotch (it can go linked with other linked troops).
