Zero Vis Zones can be the result of a piece of scenery.

So we'd get arguments about that.

A Visibility Zone, you mean? That's not 'a piece of scenery' in that way.

anyone who plays acrylic ads scatter terrain as being low vis. I know it is a bad example because the official rules says that any and all acrylic no matter how clear they are, are always considered opaque and LoF blocking.

Like you say, that's a bad example because the rules say to play it a different way.

The smoke coming out of a smokestack on the table being treated like a smoke grenade.

Right, but that's a scenery item (the smokestack) plus a separate volume thats a Visibility Zone. In the context of this discussion, it only matters if the scenery item itself is being treated as a Visibility Zone.

Depends on how the players define it. As it stands the LoF/cover (and terrain) rules are unclear and in nees of a tuneup.

In our meta, we've used areas of "forest" to denote saturation / low vis zones before. They are mostly flat with a few trees on the base to denote where the forest area begins/ends. Would that count?

Generator Rooms or Engine Core Rooms.

My point was that changing the wording like that wouldn’t stop arguments, it would change what we’re arguing about.
