She is a great toolbox killer, we are used to toolbox specialists but this really is a solution to a lot of problems.
I just had a thought. Anyone else think there's a chance that 'Optimate' might refer to a whole new unit type? For those unaware, the Optimates (though, the singular version should be Optimas rather than Optimate) were the Senate majority of Rome during its late Republic era. They were basically conservatives, but their name translates roughly into "best men" or "best ones", and they were for often known for their pursuit of very personal goals through their support of policy-making that favoured patricians (rather than plebeians). I'm thinking this could indicate a unit type that is essentially the creme de la creme of posthuman candidates - instead of having Jumper, they're all guys with Dart-like stats and very specific, individualistic toolkits that are specialized to serve certain roles, much the way that Dart is basically a super-skirmisher with gear that excels at hunting down other skirmishers. Fully prepared for someone to tell me that Optimate is just a PanO political class or something now, but I hope I'm onto something here.
So far, I only use the mines. At least based on my current meta, OSS really doesn’t struggle against TAGs and HI (plenty of hacking and always some EM on Yadus, Posthuman Mk5) while we can get into serious problems with Warband spam. Of course we often have some mines/dropbears in the list anyways, but different to EM I think quantity can be key here to stop the horde.
