    Thank you, much appreciated.

I have to admit I sometimes struggle with these details, not exactly knowing how to deal with them. Not in all cases I have a complete plan (almost never complete :grimacing:), some decisions I make on the fly.

Right now I'm painting the prototype miniatures for a Kickstarter in comission, and I'm demo painting at the Spiel in Essen. After that I hopefully will have time to dedicate for the colour scheme design thread. I hanen't forgotten.

Man, I'm now totally torn between the blue/gold and blue/black/white scheme. Do you demopaint the whole 3 days?

May I ask for the turquoise green recipe you used?
I've recently tried something on my TAG but as I had to restart from scratch I'd like to tune it a bit and yours is closer to what I'd like to achieve.

Of course! I mainly use Vallejo acrylics, and the base is 309 Periscope from the Panzer Aces Series. First hightlight is Light Turquoise 70.840, second highlight is a mix of Light Turquoise with Ice Yellow 70.858. I use Ice Yellow also in highlighting the Jade Green and the Grey, so it keeps all colors together. I also shade the whole miniature with a mix of Purple 70.959 and Black, you may see a hint of it especially in the Grey.

    Many thanks.
My try was quite far from what you used (Turquoise VMC and VGC with Citadel Nihilakh added to highlight all on a dark prussian blue base).
I think I should invest in some light turquoise (I'm not that confident with mixing).

TAG has been stripped and is now reglued so I hope to rework it soon.

You're doing such an excellent job as seen on your thread that mixing won't hold you back. Just experiment a little or use sources like Angel‘s books or Youtube. Keep on!

Thanks a lot, that means a lot.
I'm not afraid to mix per se. It's just that I'm not consistent enough yet. Have pure color for the main paint job is still an easy option I use.
When it comes to smaller surface highlight, mixing errors are less impacting at my level.

I think consistency is not that important, when you are not sure if it's the same hue others might not see the difference either. Just use the same colors. I regularly forget which colors I used for my armies, e. g. the Druze, so I tried to get near as possible. But I started to note the colors down in a book, that helps a lot.

Yes, spend the $$ on a small artist's notebook, ideally one of those spiral-bound ones so that your painting surface will lay flat.

Ah very nice. One of my favorite O-12 schemes return! But the YJ also are beautiful!

    Good job!
