As you know, life is short and unjust, and some things you'd like to keep seeing have to go. Here's the list of Last Chances, your last chance to acquire them in order to make a difference on the street during your games. It's not on the page yet, but you can check inside the item pages. I'm wondering about these oop, are there going to be any repacks? I'm not sure. In my opinion, the Kaplans are leaving (and they are not included in the Na2 reinforcements.), Sir Sean Connery and the Braveheart guys too, maybe the ultimate opportunity to buy them...
Jayth, you were an amazing sculpt done an utter disservice by being overcosted for 3 years and then dumped by CB. For shame.
OOP seems to hit more and more younger releaes. So Nisses are reduced to one sniper in one box of three different minis in C1 I guess. Kaplans were nice, but I have to old ones around, still not finished painting. Jayth are three years already? Wow. Maybe they mix some boxes, maybe they just did not sell well.
Ariadna range might be cleared a bit to make space for the return of the Merovingians. Govads are probably going to get repacks for the Blackwind follow-up. But Jayth, kaplans and nisses?! Where's the logic?! Sure, the cutthroats were no-one's favourite shasvastii unit and the most important part of that pack was the taigha, but what's the reason for removing the box instead of fixing their rules? And nisses are even more inexplicable.
With the recent MO and Shaolin boxes collecting up three blisters, plus the 5 minis going into the recent Ninja box, Nisse might be going into a larger SWF box.
Most probably, Lesh, but why discontinue them instead of making them playable with the reinforcements? They could have easily put the Jayth with useful reinforcement profile in the list.
With a wisdom of Solomon CB decided to cut this child. How could we complain? No problem - no need for solution. (Yes, I have a question, why they are not in reinforcement... Fits well. Could be useful. May be someone don’t like aliens, but I don’t have enough evidences yet...)
Might just end up being a repack. Moderators and morlocks are going into a 2+2 box rather than their old 4 man box each.
Aside from Jayth lore basically pointing them out as being reinforcement troopers before Reinforcements became a thing, it would have been nice to see Shas and Morats getting some minor representation in CA reinforcements. Nexus, Umbra, and Humans are there. Jayths and a Morat trooper to round that out would be appreciated.
I actually like the idea of reinforcement forces being a slightly distinct group, allowing designers to use ideas which don't merit a full sectorial / to use them without inflating vanilla even further. Korean force and Exrah are best examples of it. I feel that PanO one is a missed opportunity, it could've been made around units from Earth Bastion Army. Same for Nomads, why not use Black Hand this way.
Personally I like both approaches, giving a unique force in reinforcements and using reinforcements to reintroduce new models and updates to sectorials that are out of production. As far as Nomads go, I think the decision to make an enforcers group instead of the black hand is a sound one.
-Breaking New- FYI: I've added these 3 new references, including the iconic Tarik and Scarface & Cordelia (even if the latter 2 were feeling a bit old). - Tarik Mansuri, Amir of Khawarijs (DA CCW) - Imperial Agent Pheasant Rank (Red Fury) - Scarface and Cordelia, Mercenary Armored Team
Right now if you are a Druze player you're in the following situation: Diggers - no model Triphammer - no model Scarface & Cordelia - last chance Arslan - oop Le Muet - oop Fiddler - only available in Aristeia version, with extra bloat. Kaplan - not in Druze, but staple in other NA2, last chance The Tohaa players have been justifiably concerned by the latest update, but some NA2 factions really aren't having too many issues to be happy either.
This OOP policy is too regular, too important in terms of the number of exit and lacks communication, leading to our anxiety. In the style you can add squalo v1 due to its replacement by v2) and the box of fusilliers panos which will leave for sure (because all the boxes of fusilliers of faction leave for example celestial guards, alguaciles, etc)... it starts to cost, all my budget acheron fall will melt.
