So mayby it should be ASA separeted from PanO and not JSA from Yu-Jing, as apparently ASA can cool things and actually "aquire" Nice Tings the only way PanO can apparently do that - by "borrowing" Aleph units.
I must admit that @eciu is great at creating memes. I am not saying that he is / isn't wrong, though.
Yea, it's soo good that I can get internet points, if only I could convert them to real currency ;P (lets not start discussing cryptocurrency now ;P)
"PanO Tears" :P Back to topic: Let's assume we won't see changes to Kirpal. How can we use him to get the best value out of him?
He has quite good shelf value. I might also find it a nice small/strange gift to my Sikh neighbour. Ok, serious now: He really seems like expensive Cube Jeager, who additionally has an option of scoring new classified "HVT kidnapping". And has a possibility of really hurting TAG out of position (but doing so while requiring many more orders than Cube Jeager). You could in theory risk baiting your Lt Spitfire Montesa to bait enemy HD units to drop out of hiding to hurt your Lt (and hope he survives their ARO). At the end of turn deploy Singh somewhere safe to rescue yourself from incoming LoL.
You hope that your 2W carry over you through ARO. Risky and not really efficient, but I cannot think about better uses for him.
It's not that. I understood your post as "I use my Lt. as a bait, and if he goes down I deploy CoC unit to prevent LoL". Am I correct? Because that's the point, I don't think we can do it anymore.
I think he says "I march my Lt to bait people from HD and such, but at the end of the turn I deploy Singh just in case my Lt will be pasted in enemy active turn".
Kinda, but I'm aware of FAQ and point is you deploy Singh before Montesa go down, so as soon as you "trigger" something bad (and you hope you live) you deploy Singh.
Yes, but then enemy might not want to leave some HD/camo ;) And you also wished Singh was some ordinary Kempentei, which we don't have :)
ignore teh CoC. if hes on the table and it procs its a bonus. Just like the Unknown Ranger really. Hes a mid to late game scoring AD troop that can score, and BS13 with an assault pistol is burtal, hes a fair hand at CC and has less to worry about against random troops than most non CC monster profiles. Often times when attacking with him I'll let the 4 dice and BS 16 do the work and step out of cover if it will also strip my opponent of it. But theres also the meta game, I have won numerous games by shaking my opponents hand at the start of my third turn and saying "Sorry I win, you cant stop me scoring" and walking him on the table. In those terms i rate him almost as highly as VZ as its something people really dont expect from PanO
Yea, something which can be accomplished by Cube Jeager now for bit more than half of the price of Singh.
And, yet again, not in Acontecimento, only in vanilla PanO... Sadly from my experience playing ASA, neither Kirpal nor a regular Akal is worth to field (althoug I also blame it to my bad luck rolling dice)
AD + COC + Assault Pistol + extra CC makes him quite expensive for a unfortunate package. Stealth + Unhackable AD Specialist keeps him in the race as well as lack of competition. SAA lacks TO Camo and the Akal has to deal with being an equally unfortunate AHD... so for lack of Competition Singh is something unique for SAA. Assault Pistol + Combi has a serious pricing problem, Marksmanrifles would fix that (for even more points but still 0 SWC).
Jagers cost SWC, Arent B4 and Arent B3 and have no possibility of taking over when the stuff hits the fan
Noone, you were claiming opponent "cannot stop you" that means no F2F included, so you don't need his BS13, B4 etc. Also 90% EMitter >> E/M CCW (especially on CC19 unit).
Seriously mate, the hate-on is getting old. The discussion is Singh, I've explained what I think hois strengths are. You proceeded to pick a single one of those, point out the unit in vanilla that does that sole job better (albeit only if you have the SWC for it) and then got upset when I pointed out the additional things Singh does that a Cuve Jaeger does not. Sodding enough already please take the flipping negativity elsewhere, either learn how to use what we have or please stop bothering those of us that are bloody trying. (And yes I typically agree that we get the shaft that doesnt mean I dont get tired of bloody hearing it where its not relevant)
I have a similar stance on Singh, hes bloated and rules dont mesh too much with the current ruleset. But still, I keep fielding him pretty regularly since he is an AD specialist with assault pistols.
