I'd expect PanO to keep four sectorials, they always had slightly more of them. With vanilla getting cut down to size it won't be much of a problem, especially since MO is largely a separate animal - looks like very few ot their units will make it into vPano
MO is indeed a separate thing, and I like how their units are sparsely used in the other sectorials as it fits the story and theme. Bostria said optimal and indeed PanO might get 3+1, but lets assume the optimal apply and we get KCF, SWF and MO, the blurry pic seems to suggest generic is mostly NCA and VIRD units.
I think it will be KCF, MO, SWF, and VIRD solely based on the fact you can still get models for those factions. NCA is the Wildcard with Reinforcements.
No that column is HI skirmishers and TAGs we can see Helots, Crocmen and Cutter but not the other units these must be in the left column missing.
I hope we'll see more information soon. There's no point in planning any army construction without knowing what and how will change. I feel the hiatus
From the heavily artifact image from the interview we have some information about the generic list, though 1/3rd is missing.
KCF preview list is the best PanO news I ever had for my 6-7 years of infinity. PanO can have awesome stuff.
I agree, Black AIR Sniper is a great unit... and there are a ton of visors on the list, maybe they are finally getting serious about PanO shooting. N5 Nisse MSR should have a significant cost reduction, it cannot cost the same.
Wow. Comparing the Scarecrow to the similar Crocman N4 profile....there has been some serious point changes.
Serious point changes .... or a serious case of power creep. I will await the news with baited breath.
Both, by the looks of things. One point over a current ORC HMG buys you a Griffin, whose only downside is -2 PH and comes with MSV1 (expensive!), a Pulzar, a terrain skill and a modifier to... Jump? The Banshee is under twenty points, too. I'm fine with this if the formula really has been updated to favour elite units a little more; I think we're all tired of maxing out Fugazis every list to fuel our three interesting pieces with enough Orders to function.
Kestrel units definitely looks more interesting than what we've previously seen in PanO, I'm curious about the other weapon options for the units in question. We've already heard that points for more elite units will get looked at, and it's obvious that we're seeing some effects of said looking.
There are so many things to digest on this preview, Sniper rifles got a nerf, but also suppressive fire, shotgun changes, D-Charges... but most importantly Black A.I.R. Number 2 that Neurokinetics goes into fireteams.
Regarding MSR, I'd say that they got a sidegrade rather than downgrade. DA mode needed the change, most of the time it was obviously better than shooting AP. I don't know how I feel about MSR Suppression Fire thematically, will have to wait, see, and especially experience it
I can’t find a reason not to go suppression with MSR if I have a spare order and my sniper is safe. Go suppression, shoot something closer, or cancel suppression if they are far for suppressive fire range.
