I've always been wondering, what exactly are they for? Zuyongs have all their comms equipment inside their helmets, so why do half of PanO units have them?
In Appleseed they contained sensors and cameras, allowing you to look around a corner without exposing your head and it's squishy contents. Edit: I'm assuming you were asking what the horns were for, ask your parents about the crotch ;)
Regarding the so called 'fat shaming' of Fat Yuan Yuan, maybe CB understands it, that super chonky boys have no place in a regular militarny or security forces? Buff big dudes/gals? Yup. Small agile dudes/gals? Also Yup. Chonky dudes with overhang bellys? Doubtful. That is why they are taking a piss of the demand for such representation maybe? And i am a chonky dude myself so... Back on topic: Am I the only one who loves YJ minis a lot more than PanO ones and is slightly turned off of it by the ladyknight pose? Swinging a baseball bat and all that?
I think the Fusiliers look better in the winter gear, especially the man actually wearing his snow goggles, but most of the new YJ stuff looks prettier than the Smurfs. I like the Knight a lot though.

Errrr... no I think you're remembering the Guges suit that Deunan wears and parts of which get slapped on top of Briareos. :D
Technically they're closest to the ORC armour worn by Deunan on book 3 or 4, her squad leader version had the ears. Appleseed had a huge aesthetic impact on PanO and Yu Jing though.
