On the other hand, the Nokken is using a boarding shotgun with a new weapon profile. +3 16" and the ability to use a DTW. That does make a Nokken better able to handle camo tokens. Come to think of it, the Nokken with the new boarding shotgun is a pretty nasty unit. The Locust with boarding shotgun also improves quite a bit.
We don't know yet if shotguns will change in N4, or if these rules are C1 only. It's possible that they just wanted to keep Impact Templates shenanigans out of the simpler game.
I imagine N4 and code one will share all the rules. Code one simply dont use some rules, like holos, impetuous, ambush, etc
I seriously doubt they will have different weapon profiles between code 1 and N4. That would be terribly confusing and C1 would fail as an intro to the full game. Sorry, its from a picture somewhere in this thread. *shrug
The big issue seems to be the starter set. I haven't really seen much discussion of broader context yet because we still have too many variables.
ok miss information lol Or I miss read something. Hmm, That would mean the Nokken is at BS 10 from 8" - 16" vs Camo lvl 2 units. Thats not bad but not great.
At burst 2. Definitely not ideal for the daofei who is at 10s as well. The sniper and the guilang are better as they're at 7 and 8 respectively at that range. If he can get under 8 against the sniper, then yeah he gets to drop the hammer. Against the other two, hes either going to end his turn staring at a mine or eating nanobots in turn.
Spitfire should be legit. Still wish he had marksman options. Or a MK12 would have been cool. Oh well.
I'm mostly worried about Discovering the camo, actually. Code 1 seems built for very low order counts, and running up against heavy camo with a small number of orders just isn't fun because you can easily waste half a turn doing nothing just so you can shoot a few enemies. I'm half wondering if they actually changed Camo completely for C1 to make it more palatable.
Daofei at 8-16 range hits Nokken at 7's; +3 for range, -3 for cover, -6 for Mim2 Locust might fill that spot. WHich reminds me that I'm still curious as hell how they'll make those two fit different niches...
It seems like the cardstock includes Immobilized and Targeted markers. What in the box can inflict those states?
Wildfire/Salvora included Team Leader and prone markers, not everything is for the box contents it seems.

looking really slick. surprised to see locust in there, guess they like the sculpt and want to keep it around come N4. AVA seems really high on most things! AVA 3 Fugazi near guaranties this sectorial is going to kick ass
"Karhu" is Finnish for "bear" apparently, and there's a mention of a well-known Finnish tactical team that is known by the moniker. Not like the Locust got a fair shake with NCA, they only released the one sculpt and called it a day.
