They're the Tunguska equivalent of Wildcats, Bagh-Mari, Marauders, Scots Guard, Briscards, Kamau, Druze, etc. They're your Fireteam option that does more than sit in the DZ popping off the occasional missile ARO. Better stats, the ability to shoot straight, useful equipment (MSV1 and sensor are both very useful) and a mixture of loadouts for, CQB, long range, or both.
From what we know until now, tunguska is lacking MSV2+. in that regard, a fireteam of sensor toting, MSV1 guys with BS13 is definitely something. I don't really know if tunguska is going to get MSV2 or MSV3, but i hope if they get it, that their roles will be pretty different.
That could be a good idea - give Grenzer one MSV2 profile on MSR profile, for example. Or on Missile profile for maximum trolling)) Seems to be that some separate MSV2 profiles are thing. Also it`s possible to be just on Securitates - one MSV2 profile, one with Biometric visor.
They are supposed to be "the money" so they should have acess to most of the high tech toys, at least simply because they buy it
Bakunin should have the best tech due to the Praxis labs being at the bleeding edge of Human Sphere scientific research without all those pesky ethical constraints. But they don't have MSV2 either.
Because MSV2 isn't interesting. Human/animal hybrids, combat drugs, and shooting things because they don't fit your radical ideology are much more fun :)
Tunguska has best tech toys, Bakunin has weird tech toys, that`s the difference. Only TO is in Tunguska, so there should be some MSV2+.
Tunguska are going to make Bakunin's infowar capabilities look like Fisher Price's "My First Hacker" when they come out. It's going to be sick. MOV 6-2 Hollow Men shooting Pitchers from their MULTI rifles so Interventors can push your brain down your neck from across the board, oh yes.
MSV2 will be on the securitate spec op that will come in the Tunguska vs Varuna dire foes (nicknamed something like wetwork) of varuna trying to assassinate some Tunguskan HVT (due to water theme it should be one of the dolphins that pilot the ships being transferred in a container) Side thing I was chatting to someone about, what if Hollow Men in theory had holo projector lvl 3 + TO camo (based on the shy joke) they would be crazy expensive but what would actually happen rules wise. Holo 1-2 have NFB so would turn the camo off (but would it turn it off once they came out of hidden deployment or could they not be hidden deployed.) lvl 3 however doesnt have NFB, would the hollow man just reveal as 3 TO camo markers?
Wild evidence-free speculation: Maybe some entirely new unit will pop up armed with MSV3, a "ghosthunter" or something. Maybe a more traditional HI that can special fireteam with Grenzers and has a pretty low AVA? Either way, seems plausible to me when the Secotorial lands with actual previews we'll be shown some new stuff, and there might be other units to be added. Then again, the count isn't that low after we add the Heckler and Hollows, is it?
Bakunin get 16 unique units (15 if ignoring avicenna) Correg get 16 (13 if not including gromoz, McMorough and deadpool) Tunguska atm if all rumours are true have 11 (in brackets are my theories) securitate grenzers boracs spektres interventors szally nautical zond (beefier zond, near light TAG level) combat puppets (either cheap link filler, or like brawlers that fit most links. Or Kuang shi style controlled warband ish units) hollow men (Karakuri HI) hecklers (zero/moran esque unit as midfield skirmisher, more pricey and like a ryuken) 1 unnamed character (Not Morganna) If CB wants Tunguska as fleshed out as other nomads we are missing 2-3 pure tunguskan troops and 2-3 Mercs, even small/compact sectorials like USAriadna have 13 unique profiles. The unnamed character could be spector as he wasnt known at time statements were made and he is fluff linked.
So we're possibly a couple short, Spector might be the "Merc" character Tunguska have access to (But of course, money talks and mercs like to listen so maybe Tunguska will have a few Mercs?) and we MIGHT get one more Tunguska character? Nautical Zond, makes me think maybe an upgunned/uparmoured Meteor? It'd be interesting to see a high-ARM 2STR Remote to act as the Tunguskan "Gecko" equivalent. That'd be a pretty unique unit AFAIK, and fit as a lower-tech counterpart to PanO's TAGs being remote presence
He's a quality Merc, one who works for one of the few (only? i forget) Silk tycoons to be kicked out of the Sultanate for corruption. With the absurd amount of money that guy has to throw around Spector's probably done some work with/around/for Tunguska.
Pretty sure he reports on Druze to Tunguska command in one of those promo pictures for NA2. Which suggest he at least might have worked for them at some point.
