Actually, I think that most of the left-handed miniatures are just doing an off-hand shot as most models have their pistols mounted so they can reach it with their right hand, even the ones who are using their left hand to aim their primary weapons.
Or more likely, there isn't a person in the company with a meaningful interest or understanding of guns, much less practical experience handling them. The design team should take a work vacation to Italy or the Czech Republic or something.
Definitely agree with this, and it really shows in the miniatures. Although I think most Infinity miniatures are almost pieces of art (with exceptions for the occasional oddball), one thing that I just can't help but cringe every time I see it is when a miniature has its finger on the trigger when they don't look like they're absolutely ready to fire. This is coming from someone whose spent his whole life around firearms and knows exactly what the consequences are for not handling them with proper respect for even a millisecond. Gun safety rants aside, I really don't mind minis shooting offhand and think it's an interesting take. It's a very useful skill to have in marksmanship because, particularly in the military, you may need to operate your weapon with your off hand when shooting around a corner so you can keep as much of yourself in cover as possible. I do it all the time when I'm playing airsoft. Also, if the design team wants to go to Italy, I'd say they should go for it. Just be careful going there over the summer, because I was in Italy last August, and the heat and humidity was pretty bad, even worse than the heat wave northern Colorado was having at that time.
Well there is a trend nowadays for increase in lefties percentage in population, so by XXII century they just might be a majority. I, for one, welcome our new left-handed overlords. granted, that trend is more likely due to schools not trying to teach them to write right handed anymore, and should cap out soon, but we shouldn't let it stop our off-topic and pointless discussion.
