    Thanks for the feedback guys.

This is, obviously enough, a combat oriented and not objective oriented list and will only be suitable for some missions.

I'd couple it with something more objective driven if I was going to a tournament.

What would that look like 'though?

That made me think what the same concept, extended to a more objective focused list, would look like and I ended up with this:

    Objective - Objectives
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    GROUP 1[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]10
JOAN OF ARC Lieutenant Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, AP CCW. (1 | 51)
ORDER SERGEANT Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 15)
ORDER SERGEANT Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 15)
ORDER SERGEANT Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13)
ORDER SERGEANT Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13)
ORDER SERGEANT Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15)
SPEC. SERGEANT (CH: TO Camouflage, Infiltration, Forward Observer) Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27)
SPEC. SERGEANT (CH: TO Camouflage, Infiltration, Forward Observer) Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27)
DART Submachine Gun, Viral Tactical Bow, E/M Grenades / Pistol, Shock CC Weapon, Knife. (0 | 34)
PATHFINDER DRONBOT Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 16)

Well the answer to that varies from mission to mission with the different parameter bonuses. Some don't require a Doctor, Some have EVO bonuses, Some just want Infiltrating Specialists. Rather than design a general "this list does missions" I'd go back through your tournaments take a sample of the mission compositions and then work at building 2 lists to handle them.

That will give you the best possible idea of what you can achieve through list construction.

Dude, seriously, you think I don't know that?

I'm discussing the concept of what is (for me, and I get the feeling a lot of other people too) a totally different way to approach list building for Military Orders.

Some examples to discuss and tweak for particular missions are necessary.

Hey, she's boring, but at least not as busted as before the update. You're not actively gimping your SWC budget by taking her anymore. But she's still sorta bad.

No, but you are still busting your points budget.

Not quite sure I get the concept... who picks up the slack after Dart bites it?
I assume you don't want to send Joan into the fray right away and the OS Core isn't well suited for the job either.
    TOFO Combis to the rescue?

Maybe drop the EVO and take a Magister Core+OS HRL if you want to go with that particular concept.

To be fair, B3 Heavy Rocket Launchers aren't actually a terrible ranged option.

But you can drop the EVO and swap in an Order Sergeant Hacker instead, which frees up the points to put a Spitfire into the Core too.

But, to be fair, the point with this list isn't to fight, it's to do objectives.

You shouldn't be trying to kill enemy ARO pieces, but instead using Camo and move-move to bypass them.

MO doesn't lend itself to a denial strategy the same way 20 Orders Ariadna with loads of Mines, throwaway pieces and Ambush Camo would. And even those still bring a Spetsnaz.
BS12 HRLs make for decent ARO pieces, but the lack of maneuverability MODs and Burst don't really make up for a HMG's +2 Burst in the Active Turn and you struggle to take out any sort of decent AROs with them.
HRLs hit quite hard, that is if they can win the FTF, so there is that, but with a group 2 that hasn't an Active Piece and group 1 hamstrung to 6 Orders after a Command token to spend on Dart this seems dangerously toothles.
Replicating the same list in OSS with an Asura Lt L2, Dakini Core, Posthumans, Dart and a Naga seems to be a similar concept in a much deadlier capacity.

Dunno, playing against that kind of strategy usually ends with being careful to stop killing stuff in turn 2 to avoid LoL for the other guy. Playing for Objectives is important, but doing only that doesn't really work in most missions.
It can win a specific mission, but for a tournament environment I really have my doubts.

    @AdmiralJCJF

I like this list. What about swapping one of the TO guys to the second group so that you have a mobile specialist and attack piece to spend orders on?

I don’t know what else you’d put in it, but a concept I’ve been toying with is Mobility Joan and a Santiago KHD as a duo. The tinbot can help protect Joan in the rare instance that she gets hacked and she drags around a solid specialist with to get buttons pushed.

I think the chain of command Sepulcher is necessary with Joan being that aggressive which puts me at almost 150 points on three models.

    Maybe there’s something there.

I kinda want all three Camo Specialists in the one group for Joan to do her magic with them.

But I can see the argument you're making.

Speaking of Joan and Chain of Command, noodling around with that left me considering this:

    Military Orders

Interesting. I like the double chain of command. I’m curious to see how the HRLs workout as a work horse. I really like the Kamau HRL in a haris or solo because you can be ultra mobile and catch stuff under the template. It’s harder to do with a core, but could be interesting nonetheless. Another good option for projecting range is the Hospitaller haris. BS14 at burst 5 can muscle through most situations.

Yeah, I consider lists built around the Hospitaller Core or Hospitaller Haris a proven concept at this point.

    I know those can work.
