I kinda liked that Cateran has a Siocast tactical rock. I hate working with Siocast but still... I remember the old one having a rock like 2xVolume of him in metal. And a chunk of it being useless since it went from big base to 25mm.
I wish CB gave it more thought though - make all tactical rocks detached and in siocast, maybe release themed/faction debree packs for them to replace tactical rocks so you could have some variety of sculpts instead of ending up with rocks on space ship bases etc. They keep reusing poses anyway so there won't be that much variety in sizes.

Okay - now with colors the Zero-Box looks nice. Somehow I expected more. Pistol on Monkey King is still odd ... why I see a tendency to give Non-CC capable units big CCWs (last one Heatae) and show CC-experts with guns (Myrmidons, Monky King)?

Azrail still looks too chunky for me.

Ana still looks like a missed chance of something very cool. Upscaled Kiss-bot weapon is very bland. But I see a hint of the brutality displayed of the old N2 CA ... is that a head in its hand?

April brings a new ABH - fingers crossed for SMG - for me the most intresting thing in April ;-)

Yes, that ORC troop has a really bad day (maybe he managed to pass the sepsitor attack?)

I am wondering on the bounty hunter, iirc the events exclusive miniature was supposed to be a Varangian.

Bounty Hunter is the Adepticon exclusive mini, like Kusanagi or the Illuminatrix last year (also available online) while the VarGuard is the Convention exclusive mini for 2024, like Mary Problems last year, and the Naginata Shikami before that.

my interpretation of the sculpt is that the rod he holding is a combat staff, like the one from his previous sculpt

And I'd say it is almost certainly correct, given the staff was the original Monkey King's signature weapon - also, the miniature replicates the classic wushu pose (except with a handgun tather than simply looking far away).

The Shaolin kung fu move is literally called "Monkey climbs the tree".

I need to find someone that's willing to split the box with me. I only want Bran. I use the current one as my Beast hunter for my YJ.

Bran Do's pose has been doing the rounds as a meme lately, blame tiktok and other shorts-based platforms, in a way it makes sense to use it.

In truth, I was expecting Nevsky's take on Bran Do's pose (grabbing to a wall and making monkey noises without his staff, because he had just killed Joan D'Arc with a precise throw, breaking the Hospitaler's fireteam and making them Impetuous XD)

I like to agree, but they placed the staff so, it could be some antennae thing also, or he coincedently choose a metal holding point for his acrobatic ... either way the sculpt is more in scale with the new line and I also like to have zeros (even I like the old helmet design more, the new ones look like beaks, but the old ones are tiny).

The weapon is OK for me. I really love the mini, except that…. Why does he have such a protuberant crotch ? That ruins it for me.

The thing is that this one is very hard to correct without some high skill. Sphinx also has one (again, wtf), but at least it’s super easy to cut off and then polish it so that the alteration is invisible

Sphinx crotch didn’t bother me, but I did remove the sword mount from the back. If I decide I want a second Anathematic, I’ll definitely be replacing the weird pulzar tube with a plasma rifle from the drone remotes box.

I think you can shake it off because the Vidocq doesn't get a SMG. That's second one that had a figure that doesn't come with the weapon. They also showed a Nightshade with MSR. It could be they are in TB and get more profiles I guess. I really like that figure though. It's very cyperpunk to me.

On the French forum we talked about it quickly and I remembered that last summer it was said that the poses and weapons on the renders were not definitive. On the discord it was written at the time concerning the nightshades:
"Yes, that was rejected during design phas
Honestly cudos for CB for showing earlier design phases.
Nightshade model is an old concept, not the finaly product"

The Vidocq would be a great Posthuman proxy mkV, or another Ryuken-9 (because who doesn't want a few of those?). Just file off the serial numbers on the tactical barrel :)

Indeed. If it wasn't for the ridiculous and out-of-topic pose... :(
