So... Even less reason to post something on the forum. I don't blame them.

Well, they still should, because since now, you are playing satelite tournaments that grants a place for an internacional tournament that is cancelled. Or the release of the Warcrow wargame setted for this year interplanetario. That's still no CB bussiness?

If this forum is not a place for doing PR, why they keep posting here studio updates from time to time. And if these forums have lost that many user and the Infinity discord is so populated and with the presente of CB's staff and is a meeting point for all the players, why keep the forums active? Let'em die. Forums have several problems since the migration, still not resolved for years, and never worked as good as the old ones

The studio updated is posted by us half the time. Every once in a while Koni will. I'm not convinced Warcrow is to blame for anything. They have been going at the same pace for years, doing good and bad at the same rate.

Yeah the forum is already dying but I'll still keep coming here. I cant stand they way Discord reads and others are just as bad.

They make the tactical rock separate (something people have asked them to do many times), and you hate that it's... two different materials? Do you also hate that all the minis so far have been metal but the bases have been plastic? Come on, CB, all plastic or all metal, no mixing!

Bringing out a whole new game mode and 50+ brand new minis and profiles to support it in these last six months alone is just another obvious sign that CB doesn't care about Infinity. Got it.

Btw, I'm not saying they didn't to a bad job implementing Reinforcements so far and that they could do a lot more to improve the game in general. But CB needing time to get things right isn't a new thing. I'm just so tired of all these doomsayers claiming that because of Warcrow CB doesn't care about Infinity anymore. You know they have two completely separate teams working on those two games, right?

CB posted a single piece of PR on other channels than the forum = let the forums die since they're useless. Another piece of sound reasoning. Why is everyone I meet in the real world excited to play this game, while 90% of the people on these forums are hateful of everything that has to do with it? If you are all so bitter, why are you here?

Sorry, rant over. The negativity is just so frustrating sometimes...

    Spot on!
I have the gen.1 Cateran, and the mass of the "tactical rock" it has warranted an extra magnet in the base, comapred to my standard. Plus, it makes it kinda difficult to fit for transport / storage.

So, that's a lot of metal.
And the current sculpt seems to be way better suited to be buildt without its "tactical rock". Win-win.

    Yup.
Have some chocolade. It may help :)

A mode that came out so untested that mostly all the players dont like it and they announced that they are remaking it; that was launched even though corvus does not have the capacity to quickly produce all the necessary minis. No one needed new troops and profiles you cant play in a normal match. Why i gonna buy an expensive box for a mode that is not being much played? And it was like 2 months? since the mode debuted to the first batch of REF came to the store. That's BS. The ref mode should debut at the same time the firsts two boxes reached the store, and with a new batch of ref boxes hitting the store every month, having almost all the ref boxes out by the end of 2023.

Blind faith in the company and dont accept they are doing things wrong is also frustrating.
Im sorry, but this is the most extended feeling here.
CB is not caring about the game like in the past. They are not in contact with the comunity anymore.

This past weekend, 3 of the most important spanish podcasters streamed together to talk about the Interplanetario cancelation and this was commented at some point. "Infinity is far from being fine at the moment. Something is not working inside of the company. They should give the rules to someone external, but experienced, to work with the rules and the creation and balance of profiles, or probably the community will end with fanmade rules like BB or WHF"

Well, considering that this "new game mode" is a crappy 2 pages long PDF that was clearly not properly tested, I would indeed say that this is an obvious sign CB doesn't care much about Infinity right now... And most of these minis can't be played outside of this "new game mode" so...

I think we can all agree that Reinforcements was a failure. It's an unpopular optional game mode made to sell product that they didn't release when it came out. It continues the trend of expensive boxes of mixed minis where you might use a couple in normal games and the rest are just going to sit.

Not even close. Take a look at the difference in armor coverage. They removed all of it just to get some skin tight bodysuit in there. The leg armor is different and the new one is designed to mimic high heels in pose.

Just the fact that CB came out with a record number of minis last year, I think shows that they were not interrupted by Warcrow. Their PR is as bad as it has been for years. Believe me, I've been in marketing for 30 years. It's endless frustration for me.

To me REF is not fun, but it's NOT because it's only two pages of rules. For me Less rules the better. My frustration comes from being an unbalanced (good/bad troops, coming out second), the set pt. amounts for the groups, the stupid comms guy, and new troops not available to their factions unless you are playing REF.

    .

Well, the thing is that Infinity is a miniature game. Just releasing tons of minis (especially when you can't play a lot of them outside of this new game mode no one likes) isn't not how you make players happy.

Agreed. I was mentionning the number of pages to highlight that, in addition of being terrible because poorly tested, they probably didn't spend much time writing the entire thing/

I only kept track of new figures. There were a lot of repacks but that doesn't take away from new.

My only gripe is that 43 of those 129 last year were all Nomads and 29 were Combined. PanO was a distant 3rd with 11 figures.

    2023: 129
    2022: 91
    2021: 112
    2020: 103

    2020-2023 Total new figures

    Combined Army: 76
    Nomads: 76
    PanO: 55
    O-12: 51
    Ariadna: 42
    Aleph: 38
    Yu Jing: 37
    Haqqislam: 23

I can't argue with that but I think it does say they didn't hold on making figures due to Warcrow. Also, if I remember correctly, Warcrow is going to be all Siocast. Not sure on that at all.

Seriously? You are the one who posted this news in the already 9 page long, (at the time of your posting) New Releases thread instead of creating a new thread so it wouldn't get buried, yet somehow that is CB's fault?

Not to mention anyone posts anything positive about a CB news item here they are quickly labeled a PR shill.

Real hard to figure out why there is little CB interaction with the forum.

Maybe not too interesting comparing local store, but just so you know, Corvus Belli will be running a -20% operation.
It's called REM in reference to the release of Rem Racers, but there are other types of figs too.

As per announcement, Satellite winners keep their place for the next Interplanetario, hope this clears that out.

Cateran came with a 40mm base! Profile update? Nod to the original? Or mispack?

    Most probably a mispack.
