My question is Can I include Jaan and a Kiutan in Spiral or I am limited to Jaan or 2 Kiutan.

If I can play Jaan and Kiutan I think Jaan is a nice second option to add after the E/Mauler imposter otherwise better play only Kiutan.

eh...there is e/mauler + smg two points cheaper profile... (who can go suppressive) ... I don't feel like this Staar benefits a lot from buffed CC and I-kohl... and another viral pistol...well Ok... two viral pistols are definitely better then one, so you pay +3 points for one pistol and another type of mine and impact template....meeh :) I don't like him. But maybe someone else knows more and can do more with him?

Typically the preview profiles we see are tailored to the Vanilla variant of the faction. I'd expect that Kiuutan and Jaan just share AVA in Spiral.

I'm pretty sure that profile is only for basic Tohaa
In Spiral Corps I'm sure you'll be able to take both.. My fondest hope is he doesn't take the place of a Kiiutan...
A Shotgun, Antipersonnel, 2 Vitals... And a Bomb or Mate in the Enemy DZ could be nasty while basic Kiiutan can stop stuff... IMM etc... This gun can take out soft targets with easy...

I'm pretty sure the profile they gave is for Tohaa. I would be surprised if they made us drop both Kiiutan for Jaan Staar. I could see it changed to replaces one Kiiutan. Though they might be nice to Spiral and allow him with two Kiiutan.

Jaan is shit in CC, but for me his equipment goes better in synergy with the SMG Kiutan than another SMG imposter.

Is "The Shit" or just Shit as in Garbage...
if you think he's "Shit" :face_with_head_bandage:
18 CC and -9 to your CC is " Shit"
    With a Shock and Silent
He's a heat seeking missile against anything mid-tier..
Give him a Bomb and he's giving your Opponent some serious bad choices to work through...

Give him a mate and on top of being 18 CC and -9 to Targets CC, Shock and Silent, ARM and BTS 9 with Total Immunity... Sounds Pretty Dope to me
It's no Kitsune But What really is?

Jaan Staar will never get both a -9 Modifier to his opponents and the effects of a Symbio___ since he can't be in a marker state with one.

Problem is not the CC score, but the PH. If you use CC an ARM 1 enemy has 50% chance of survival just from the ARM roll.
It's better to use his Viral Pistol in CC.

Im not sure I'm following. You have the option to use his Viral Pistol in CC so why not use it?

The CCW seems to be on the profile to 1) Match the model, and 2) Make sure he's not cheaper than the Combi Kiiutan. The Viral pistol is the better choice in CC.

That was refered to the SIlent part. For the general I think Jaan want to go in CC just against target that gives you high malus to BS, something like ODD, otherwise I prefer my B3 on a BS12 rather than a B1 at CC 18 even giving my enemy a -9.

I'm not sold. E/Mitter and E/Mauler are the selling point for the Kiiutan. That' s great weapon loadout to deal with enemies the army has problems with (HIs TAGs). In a faction that much starving for SWC I find very hard t spare that 1 SWC for this guy (gal?)… Against lighter targets Greif Ops are effective, cost much less points and - maybe even more importantly - cost half the SWC.

Agree with you, I believe is a good profile but better if used as a second options, anyway is a nice addition, I hope there will be an update soon.

I mainly like that his release means a second Kuuitan model.

I think I will try him though. While the normal Kuuitan with Emaulers is probably better, this guy could be pretty decent for killing cheerleaders/ knocking orders out of link teams with all his templates. I'm not sold in using him in CC (he'll be rubbish vs anything that is tough or can fight back and against cheerleaders why wouldn't you just shoot them?)

Lightsg is gold on that kind of profil, and was really missing on the other profils !
I ran often speculoo and must say that shotguns are very interesting on impersonation profil (because you can often catch more than one ennemy on turn 1 with a shot ^^). Add mine and this profil is nearly auto-include ! With 2 effective wounds he can tank an aro without problem and you can attach a symbio bomb or mate which is more than nice

This profil is aiming cheerleaders hunting

I'm very keen on this profile for vanilla Tohaa, where it is imo a huge upgrade over the combi Kiiutan we get there. In spiral I think he's good alongside an EM/SMG Kiiutan. The Kiiutan is better for cracking harder targets and Staar is good for hunting weak stuff with the mines/LSG and certain hard targets that die to his mediocre CC. He also seems to me a good midfield option for when going second, the shotguns giving him better survivability when tucked into a building some place, and the modest CC being potentially useful against skirmishers.

Running one of each would be so much more flexible than two Kiiutan. With my limited experience in Spiral sofar I think I would probably not take him over a single SMG/EM Kiiutan if I was running just one.

IMO the AVA rule is quite clearly going to allow him alongside a Kiiutan, as it refers to "shared" with Impostors meaning it would take up one of their slots. Now if only they'd do that to the Fiday character in Haqqislam...
