My friend just got into darkest dungeon and linked me this:

And through it I discovered the official unofficial theme song for MO:

It made my day. Enjoy. :P

    Unavailable to me... damnhell

I'm kinda partial to the Ace Combat 4 soundtrack myself. While I know it was written some 800+ years after the Crusades, it's really hard to argue with a Requiem.

Mozart's Requiem is the beatstick of all of them, but you can make a good case for Orff's Carmina Burana as well. Oh Fortuna! Velut Luna. (Ironically, it's a love poem written by a monk to the lady he gave up to take the tonsure. The music doesn't sound too lovely, though.)

I don't dislike it, but it's not as Loud of War (obligatory evil website warning) or Music to Invade Poland To as O Fortuna or a Requiem.

And I'm the guy who plays American Air Cav in Vietnam games. You'd better believe that I play Ride of the Valkyries at the start of a game!

That's the trope name for aggressive-sounding music. Regardless of whether it actually was a WW2 German marching song or not.

And yes, I do include Dies Irae (literally Day of Wrath) in that description of loud and aggressive-sounding music.

I feel like some Gregorian Chant is definitely the way forwards. Here's some with extra Deus Vult:
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I read somewhere that Hospitallers were supposed to pray the Pater Noster 100 times everyday, as they went about their business. Not sure that's true, but you couldn't go far wrong with a Gregorian Pater Noster chant. Shame the group who sing the Salve Regina I posted haven't go a video if it.

I thought it was an excerpt from "Manhattan Murder Mystery" by Woody Allen :
“I just can't listen to any more Wagner, you know... I'm starting to get the urge to conquer Poland.”

I've always used this as my themsong for my Imperial Fists and Black Templars in 40k. It's like the perfect song for Templars slaughtering heretical cultists!
I'd say it's also a good fit for MO! :)

... aaand the oblivious Murican innocently suggests "Music to invade Poland to"... to the Polish guy. As if it was the most normal thing in the world.
I'm so glad this isn't the YJ forum.

    Deus Vult my brethren.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a polish friend I constantly share memes of Poland being invaded with, and he can't fight back since I can always scream ''You took Vilnius though!''
